The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!
Photo shoot day brings me JOY!/"for the sake of the Name" dad and St John/"...will he find faith on earth?” Jesus in the Gospel
How I adore time with my little ones and capturing them for posterity! Joy was with me due to down internet and distance learning, and she traveled with me over to John's house while I am the gap person between his job and Bobbi's. All the kids were so good for grandma, and I had a vision of them together... well, Jude was wary but the other two were shining sweethearts to make it so special!
I cannot get over how wonderful the kids are to take care of. Jude so adored having his cousin friend, Joy, there that he cried for about half a minute when she went out the door with mom.

I think you can see why I have my grandchildren trained to pose for me. Although Jude was not pleased to be asked to lay on the floor with the 2 girls - he knew that he had better give up because grandma always wins and insists that they cooperate even with a frown.

I am really getting excited for a photo shoot that I have been asked to do this morning for John and Bobbi - their Christmas card/change of address card. Over at the farm here and there much like their Engagement pictures using Ruth's camera and different special spots around the farm yard. Round bales, grain bins, tractors, cows and calves... LOVE to have wonderful farm backgrounds!
A cherished one from a November engagement photo shoot in 2017! I recall that being a very windy day, too, and we had to find places out of the wind... I don't think there will be sun today either. 3 years later they will have a lot to show - 2 sweet babies!!!

Arm full of chicken and a big joy smile... there are fake plans for the chickens going over to Ruth's in the warm shop for the winter... I will then be a duck farmer as I am now up to 4 ducks as of yesterday, and they handle the winter and cold better with their down under their feathers.

I became obsessed with pictures and capturing my life with babies and children, baby animals and animals, and a hunky farmer husband = I can't get enough! Hunky husband farmer did not like my obsession, so most of him early on is from the back... still hunky!
One of the best!!! 3 years ago on November 17th. So fun that almost exactly 3 years later we are doing family pictures for their growing family! I am over the moon excited and joyful to have this privilege and honor to capture their LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT!

Words – certain words –
have gained great significance for me. Reading the scriptures, these
words have leapt from the page; I have even taken to underlining
every time I find them. They center my life. The first is NAME.
How
many times the scriptures tell us to honor the Name. In the Old
Testament when God reveals His Name to Moses, the very ground where
it occurs is declared holy, and God’s holy name is so sacred that
the Old Testament substitutes “Lord” for every occurrence of the
NAME – YAHWEH. He is Our Father, ABBA.
In
the New Covenant, the Name is JESUS. “There is no other Name under
heaven by which we are to be saved.” JESUS!
When God’s name is treated lightly, when used coarsely as in the
exclamation, “O God!” it’s painful, as it is when I hear the
Name of Jesus taken in vain.
I
desire GLORY be given to the NAME. Glory is the way we praise GOD in
the Highest. This is to enter the radiance, the magnificence, the
awesome presence of the NAME. GLORY
BE TO YOU, O LORD!
We
are not to be shy or timid about our praise of the GLORY, we are to
SHOUT WITH JOY TO THE LORD! If within our spirits we feel this
exuberant shout when we contemplate the Holy Name, our spirits are
lifted up and we are filled with joy, and the temptations that beset
us fall apart like the walls of Jericho which came down at the SHOUT
of the people of God. These words – when placed in the context of
the Catholic Church of Jesus – become radiant with life and, in
this context, I bequeath them to the next generation of this family
and to those many others that I have loved in this life.
As I shared this with my brother, Dan... "What our parents are doing this morning and are asking us to join in!"
For 6 months dad and I did the 4 weeks of prayer together than 6 times! Rarely did we miss a morning or evening prayer! We loved to share our religious life and our work of prayer! Now to know that my parents are together in heaven is powerful and constantly with me!
The name of the Lord - Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
The words of Christ today in the Gospel in Luke 18... asking us the pointed question - "Will we find Faith on earth?" Yes, Lord, we strive to share your Truth in our family/domestic Church! How lucky was I to have my wonderful father not only lead us into The Church 49 years ago, become an ordained Deacon 44 years ago, and then share his LOVE for Jesus and His Bride, The Church with me without any reservations! I am the lucky one, and each day since has been a gift of great price!
Time in adoration is such a blessing to me! I have my 4a on Thursdays where I place all 250+ from both of our families in the monstrance with Jesus. Also I take an hour with Jesus at some point on Fridays as I pray for Fr Denny with 7 sisters! I can't get enough of Jesus through Mary!
Do you want the Lord to give you many graces? Visit Him often.
Do you want Him to give you few graces? Visit Him rarely.
Do you want the devil to attack you? Visit Jesus rarely in the Blessed Sacrament.
Do you want him to flee from you? Visit Jesus often.
Do you want to conquer the devil? Take refuge often at the feet of Jesus.
Do you want to be conquered by the devil? Forget about visiting Jesus.
My dear ones, the Visit to the Blessed Sacrament
is an extremely necessary way to conquer the devil.
Therefore, go often to visit Jesus
and the devil will not come out victorious against you.

Fr Denny consecrating the Body and Blood of Jesus... "Unless you eat his Body and drink His Blood - you will have no life in you." John 6! We in The Church are so blessed with Jesus coming to us in Body, Blood, and Word each new day!

Venerable Marthe Robin 1902-1981 Martha Robin was a French mystic, victim soul, and stigmatist. She was an ordinary farm girl until 1918 when she suffered from lethargic encephalitis that left her a quadriplegic. From 1930 onwards, unable to eat or drink, her only food was the Eucharist for 50 years. In 1930 she also received the stigmata and relived Christ’s Passion every week. In 1940 she was asked to also make the sacrifice of her eyesight in expiation for the sins of the world. She had visions of the Virgin Mary and Our Lord for sixty years. More than 100,000 people consulted her for spiritual advice and she brought about many conversions.
