Today will have a celebration on the side for St Dominic in France as Sunday is the "Lord of days" and is celebrated over and above the Saint for that particular day. And today is one amazing day in which we hear the words from Jesus to us sharing his Truth of the Eucharist in John 6.
All the readings at mass today related to our being fed food from heaven - Elijah being fed by the angel, then in Ephesians 4 we are reminded of So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love,
as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us
as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma... Ephesians 4
Yes, we are given Christ each time we are at mass and receive his Body and Blood!
Finally the amazing Gospel continues from John 6!
"...Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life..."
As Father Denny preached that Elijah was given nourishment to travel 40 days and nights to the Mountain of the Lord. "But we are given food to allow us to come to the Lord in Eternal LIFE!" Yes!
Jesus continues - "...Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven
so that one may eat it and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”
The heavens praise your wonders, O LORD,
your faithfulness too, in the

The Miracle of Saint Dominic
"During the ceremony of profession of the nuns of St Sixtus, there was a great excitement and a call for the saint to come out, since the nephew of one of the bishops who was acting with him in this case had just been thrown from his horse and was lying dead in the square outside. ...The body of the young man was brought in, badly mangled from the accident, and laid at the feet of the saint. Dominic ordered them immediately to remove the body to another room.
Once more life came back at his request; this time after he had offered the Holy Sacrifice. Bystanders testified that during the Mass they had seen him raised above the ground. There were hundreds of witnesses to the miraculous answer when he spoke to the dead youth and commanded: "Young man, I say to thee arise." The youth rose up joyful and with no sign of injury and was restored to his family. This miracle was instrumental in bringing into the (Dominican) Order two of its most famous sons; they were the brothers, Hyacinth and Ceslaus, and were later to win great renown as the apostles of the North."
