Lourdes on her birthday - Bobbi's birthday 3 years later/Farewell to a family member - Hope for our eternal LIFE!

3 years ago on Bobbi's 30th birthday celebrated in Lourdes with Our Lady, John and Jude in the womb!  The Gave de Pau River which flows through Lourdes behind them with the Church built over the grotto where Bernadette encountered Mary numerous times.
Today Bobbi is 33 and they have added Birdie Barbara to their sweet and special family!  This was such a powerful time for us in Lourdes as we had just celebrated the Sacrament of Matrimony with John and Bobbi on June 2nd - the Feast of Corpus Christi!  Next we flew to France - the mountain of 21 of us for Hallel's wedding to her Spouse, Jesus on the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, August 15th and 2 days later we went a couple hours away to Lourdes on a rainy day - Bobbi's birthday!
A wrapped cake and some votive candles and singing "Happy Birthday, dear Bobbi" in the middle of Lourdes in the rain!  A newly wed fighting her morning sickness and rubbing elbows with a place of miracles - after Our Lady told Bernadette to dig in the mud and a healing spring came forth that wells up to this day and many healings have taken place here!

7,000 healings have been reported but only 67 investigated so far...

How the Lord has showered them with blessings in the babies they have been given.
Hallel with us in Lourdes after her words "I promise unto death" reminding us in our marriages we are promised to our spouses also in this way!  May we embrace our Most Cherished Cross and find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT - Jesus in our midst and our hearts!  "May we put you first in our marriages, O Lord, so that we may return the unconditional LOVE and forgiveness you have given us to each other and all those around us."
Out door cooking, sharing meals and doing dishes in the Holy Family area of Saint Pierre!  Hallel describes her life as "prayer and dishes."  I am sure that at this time of all the Community gathering in France that she is very busy making meals and doing dishes!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Susan Angela Agnes/Little Sister Hallel - the story of a Call

John and I have been to France 3 times now!  The new John is now healed and asking the Lord to show him the path that is for him to follow - dragging his Most Cherished Cross and staggering down towards heaven forever with Jesus, Mary and all the Saints!
In the Trinity Cathedral - sunflowers were blooming and added such Son LIGHT to our surroundings!  The Trinity over the altar and the Lamb.
Many hills and rustic nature and beauty at Saint Pierre.  The foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains - sheep farm of the past, and time to time sheep come in to graze the hillsides.
How wonderful that we all were able to go and experience their life of prayer together thanks to Pat's mom, who went with us in 2011 for Hallel's first vows when she was 92!  Mom had died and with her inheritance we were all able to go for Hallel's wedding in France!  I know she was smiling!
Sharing in her walk of LIFE is such a blessing to us!

I had my knee replaced a few months later, so I was walking more slowly behind and couldn't resist getting the walking down the path pictures!  Happy Birthday, Bobbi!  We are very blessed to have you in our family and trusting in the Lord's plan for you and John revealed to you as you and John were seniors in High School 10 years before!  Here is the amazing story that she shared with all at their wedding reception 3 years ago!

After being classmates for all 13 years for them to come together 10 years after graduating is kind of special.  She shared to the 300 family and friends gathered at the reception in her sweet humble way about how John Verly popped into her head and heart when they were seniors in HS as her future husband.  Time and time again the same answer came to her through prayer and roses from St Therese and opening her eyes to see him right in front of her at WYD in Australia... When we consider what John experienced over those 10 years... brain cancer, seminary, girl friends, ups and downs and how disheartening it probably was and how powerful her prayers were for him!!!!  Amazing!!!   And how patient and trusting and prayerful and waiting and praying for John, this sweet girl was!

Bless all of our marriages, Lord!  May we die to self so that you may live in us and we may serve without counting the cost!
Now with the kids - 3 in the womb!  How we love ALL LIFE from conception to natural death!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"

Many prayers answered for these two!  How we rejoice with them!
Sharing mass with our TEC family for a dear family member!  It certainly comes to light that when you share the encounter with Our Lord that we are truly now family one to the other!  Father Denny did such a beautiful mass for our Pam!  His homily spoke of our HOPE for Eternal LIFE with Jesus and Mary!  How I love The Church!
Laying her to rest on a hill overlooking the Minnesota River beside her beloved husband, who left her 10 years ago.  Now they are united in heaven is our prayer!
There precious daughter shares that the week before Pam died they were here visiting and a mother deer and her fawn came out and the fawn frolicked in the cemetery.
She will be missed, yet we find comfort in knowing that she was a servant for Christ as he tells us in the Gospel today...
"...And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters
or father or mother or children or lands
for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more,
and will inherit eternal life.
But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.”  Matthew 19

Catie is very sad at the sudden passing of her mom, but comforted by knowing that her mom sorely missed her dad and now they are united in heaven forever and praying for her more perfectly together.
For Catie today from Psalm 85 in mass
I will hear what God proclaims;
    the LORD–for he proclaims peace
To his people, and to his faithful ones,
and to those who put in him their hope.
R.    The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
Kindness and truth shall meet;
    justice and peace shall kiss.
Truth shall spring out of the earth,
and justice shall look down from heaven.
R.    The Lord speaks of peace to his people.

Our Hope lies in you, Lord God Almighty!
Sharing with our TEC - Together Encounter Christ family yesterday we spoke of how Satan is attacking marriage and families... Lord, may we die to self so that you may live in our marriage and our domestic Church/family!
8 years ago Augustine and the sunflower by the grain bins.
Baby sister, Bernadette joins him... grandma's grain bin pictures are special over the years.
Yes!!!
Dad today following Psalm 101 in Morning prayer in his well marked Prayer of The Church!  And right after his his verse of our conversion!  So Eucharistic!

From the Office of Readings from St Bernard, who is a man who loves Our Lady!  So do I!!!

From a homily in praise of the Virgin Mother by Saint Bernard, abbot
(Hom. 2, 1-2. 4: Opera omnia, Edit. Cisterc. 4 [1966], 21-23)

Prepared by the Most High, prefigured by the patriarchs

It was fitting that the Virgin should give birth only to God; and it was also fitting that God should be born only of the Virgin. Accordingly, the Creator of mankind, in order that he might become a man by being born a human being, had to seek out from among all mankind and designate as his mother a woman he knew would be worthy of him and pleasing to him. And so he chose a sinless virgin, that he might be born sinless and free of all stain. He chose a humble virgin, from whom he might come forth meek and humble of heart, to display a most necessary and salutary model of these virtues for all mankind. Thus he allowed a virgin to conceive, in whom he had earlier inspired a vow of virginity, and required of her the merit of humility.

Otherwise how could the angel afterward pronounce her full of grace, if she had the slightest good quality which did not come from grace? Thus she, who was to conceive and bring forth the holy of holies, must be sanctified physically and so she received the gift of virginity; that she might be sanctified spiritually, she received the gift of humility.

The Virgin then, adorned like a queen with the jewels of virtue, shone with the glory of body and soul; and seen on high as radiantly beautiful, she so attracted the inhabitants of heaven that she moved the heart of the King with desire for her and brought down from above the heavenly message. Scripture says: The angel was sent to a virgin. For she was truly virgin in body, virgin in mind, a virgin by her special calling, sanctified, as the Apostle reminds us, in both mind and body. This came about by no unforeseen or accidental occurrence; she was chosen from eternity, foreknown and prepared by the Most High for himself, guarded by the angels, prefigured by the patriarchs, and promised by the prophets.
The complete read  - so good!!!
Now mom and Pope Benedict - his amazing words about our Mother of heaven and earth!  She is close to God and He dwells within us - therefore she is there also!  Truly she is with me on this journey and I am so blessed by her!
Now dad's man, Brother Victor!  Ruth and I are overwhelmed by tomatoes and will be doing our first canning day on Thursday - Salsa!  I think I need to boil some of our homegrown chicken eggs for those salads!
Time for lunch - salad day!  I was disappointed by dad a year ago.  He is not a tomato lover and would only allow me to put a thin slice of tomato on his sandwich at noon.  I will eat an entire one at a time, and my mom loved them with me!

My brother Dan reminded me that 2 years ago we were doing our weekly rotation of being with mom and dad around the clock.  How I loved my time with my parents together in their own home just 4 hours away from here!  How I miss them.  It is comforting to have them pray with me each morning with their prayer books left behind for me!  Bless-bless, Barbara
