Led into the deep with Little Sisters and Little Brothers-"you can stay with us as you share our ways"/"your Word, O Lord, is Truth..."

All the Little Sisters that are now living in Kansas City had to be American citizens as the borders were closed between the US and France until last month!  There are a mixture of French sisters that lived here long enough to become American Citizens - 10 years, one French Little Sister Judith, whose father was working here when she was born - hence an American born citizen, and the others from around Kansas City, Arizona, Minnesota... quite the amazing group indeed!
Joined by a Cardinal visiting from France, Cardinal Philippe Barbarin, and a new postulant for the Little Brothers, Iran!  The Little Brothers are starting to return now that the border is open again!

A week from Friday Pat and I will travel the 7 hours to inner Kansas City, Kansas to stay with our Little Sisters of the Lamb for a parents weekend for the American Little Sisters!

Our Little Sister Hallel was the first American Little Sister!  She left for France on 9/11/2008!  She returned to spend some time with us as John battled Brain cancer summer of 2009.  She took her habit in the midst of that battle and John and I flew to France - deciding we could go in 48 hours after he got better after his 2nd chemo!  We visited Lourdes after her habiting, and John fell in love with Our Lady since!

John, Nancy and I in France for Hallel to take her habit and change her name from Susan to Little Sister Hallel... also Fr Craig!!!

We also traveled to France 2 years later with Pat and his mother for Hallel's First vows!  And now 3 years ago for her final vows - 21 of us with the addition of 3 in the womb!
John in a wheelchair due to ataxia after his brain surgery wtih foundress, Little Sister Marie and Judith.
Aglow with love for her spouse, Jesus, the Lamb of God!
13 years ago wearing her cross - now the Lamb with final vows!  August 2009
Fr Craig took John into the Bathes at Lourdes - his hair still wet after he told them to pour water over his head - "that is where I need the healing."
Spirit Juice video to promote his story now with wife and 2 children!

On the Cross called Cancer to find his Faith with the help of his sisters!  "He ain't heavy, he's my brother."
So excited to be able to share our story with other parents, who have begun this journey of answering "yes" to being a bride of Christ!
John and Hallel sharing time while in Kansas City some years past.  We find so much comfort in having the one foundation in the US just 6-7 hours from our door to their door!
Ruth, Simon and Hallel years ago in KC... the kids love to be close to her in the shelter of her scapular... "the color of the sky and the shape of The Cross."

Our daughter becoming a nun has not deprived us of more family - her husband or children... rather we have been blessed with a huge family of Little Sisters and Brothers that take us on such a powerful journey of Faith!
Todd is a special friend of The Community of the Lamb - he heard their voices on the radio as he was driving truck, and heard the voice of The Truth!
Todd's story of "chewing" on the Gospel while he drives his truck is very touching!
So humble and close to the Lord... I want this too, Todd!
A verse Pat came across in Maria's home and will be the centerpiece of his talk on Prayer on the Emmaus weekend coming up!
Pearl of great Truth
We are asked to take up/drag/embrace our Most Cherished Cross to find LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT!
More from Little Sisters news letter that arrived yesterday and takes me so deep - "Go out into the deep and put down your nets for a catch" - Jesus to us!

I was there when Lenny brought the huge ladder carrying it many blocks to help Hallel paint the peak of the monastery!  He shared at that time that he struggled with alcohol.

A sweet story of a mother in the neighborhood - losing one son and still caring for another with a handicap.
"Her love has no conditions.  It is unchanged.... HOPE - Jesus beside us and within us!

The Alleluia before the Gospel today is so lived out by our Community of the Lamb - they start with the Gospel the night before and take it to heart then carry it forth to the poor!

Alleluia See Jn 17:17b, 17a

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Your word, O Lord, is truth:
consecrate us in the truth.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and all 46, 33 here and 13 in heaven!

Morning has broken - Cat Stevens

Salve Regina - sung by them at night prayer to Our Lady!
"Be 'big-hearted' enough in prayer
to embrace everyone in the world."
Venerable Mother Thecla Merlo

"O living Host,
my one and only Strength,
Fountain of love and mercy,
embrace the whole world,
fortify those who are weak."

St Faustina Kowalska (Diary, 223)
