Her morning pose for her birthday - she is homeschooled and is in 8th grade!
Notice the green grass outside on base in Washington close to Tacoma. They are a couple months ahead of us. It wouldn't surprise me that Therese has already started her garden. She has become quite the gardener - like her Aunt Ruth.
Closer to her sweet beauty!
On her Confirmation day with her sponsor, Aunt Nancy, who flew with baby, Regina, to be there for Therese. We had Simon's here in Marshall on the same day! How I pray that they along with all the 20 younger cousins take their faith to heart and always love and follow Jesus, Mary and The Church!
3 years ago with new baby brother, Hector, and her sister, Evangeline... she is the best older sister ever! I think she changes more diapers than her mom!
Happy Birthday #6 sweet Therese in Texas!! Or should we say Little Sister Therese with Little Sister Anna? Mom sewed the habits in secret and grandpa Librande made the rosaries and crosses for both! A gift like no other! Therese's favorite part - they are dressed alike! We love you so much, Therese! Jesus, hold Therese close to your heart burning with love for her. Jesus, we trust in YOU. Bless-bless, your Minnesota and Wisconsin families
Today is the feast of St Cyril of Jerusalem. He was an early church father - 386 - his words are full of wisdom and Truth!
He brings close to home the Gospel for today taken from Matthew 21 - the parable of the vineyard and how he finally sent his son, who was killed by the evil tenants!
They answered him,
“He will put those wretched men to a wretched death
and lease his vineyard to other tenants
who will give him the produce at the proper times.”
Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures:
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes?
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!
313-386
Doctor of the Church, Early Church Father
Maria just shared this as Therese is the baker in the family; "She has chosen applekuechen for her official dessert for candles. We have a family rosary night with friends tonight. She made both vanilla and chocolate cupcakes for that."
What 14 year old do you know who has a family rosary night with friends and makes her own cupcakes for her birthday that night? That is a snapshot of this most amazing young lady! I asked her mom if she was getting a phone for her birthday..."NO!!!!!!" Keep her pure and safe!
LOVE Brother Victor today especially the last thought! One does not have to do battle for the last place, since very few aspire to such a position. In choosing to be last, we are left alone with God, and no one can disturb this intimate communion! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!Captured these two in their green being sweet yesterday!
"Joy you are so lucky to be a big sister!!!"
I walked around the church for the 4th Sorrowful and felt dad smiling and close to me! The 10th Station - Jesus is stripped is a very powerful and special one - the humility station! This is where Susan sat each morning when she was discerning her call to join The Community of the Lamb!!!
I think a new added depth to prayer has begun!
Over to John's so he could run an errand - Mac and Cheese day for lunch! Jude is on his 3rd plate! John was recalling how his Aunt Rita would make a box for John and a box for her son, Brad. Then she would serve it with applesauce on the side. Fond and special memories of our two boys just 6 weeks apart growing up on the farm! Now they both are dads to a son and an daughter, and it looks like they will attend Holy Redeemer together, too! Super special!
The love Mac and Cheese just like their daddy and his cousin, Brad!!!
Our wonderful military family a week ago when Captain Joseph was promoted to Major Joseph!
Jesus thank you for the JOY of Family and how you "being JOY to the face of our soul." Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara and all 50!
