"Walk in all the ways that I command you..."/Priceless - getting together to share Faith/Family/Farm

Yes, I am obsessed with pictures! But you must admit that I use them and cherish the message they share to go with my words here.  I love to see these two sharing a chair at the table on Sunday for our family brunch on the farm after all 15 of us sharing mass together.  The other 18 of our family are also sharing mass where they live- united in the Eucharist!

It warms my heart to hear that Jude misses his times with his cousins on the farm each week.  Some weeks he is busy with other things, so it had been a couple weeks away including rolls in the Church basement one Sunday.  Since Covid that has not happened, and our gathering together for a nice brunch has taken the place of rolls after mass in the Social Hall.  

After mass - Jude and Joy are good friends... grandma Loves to see family sharing and caring!

Jude will be 3 on the weekend and is having a party on Sunday afternoon.  His buddy, George, and his family are coming to join in the fun.  It should be a big gathering of family!  How we cherish our moments together to share our family together!  

We are currently working out the possibility of getting ALL together to share some time with our nun, Hallel, who is going to be coming to the farm after the Octave of Easter in Kansas City.  Nancy is even looking into a large place many could stay in and share in Easter with The Community of the Lamb!  There is some expense to all this, but my feeling is that coming together is priceless for us!

22 month old Birdie Barbara in the barn with her mommy.  She will be 2 in May, and has such a large number of words and language clear and in sentences!  Wow!

Joy with 2 new baby calves - she is very comfortable with them as she is one of the girls that is in charge of feeding bottle baby calves with her big sister, Rose.  A week from today Joy Jean will be 5 and join her 2 other cousins.  We love our groups of cousins!  There were 3 girls in about 10 months 5 years ago.

A line in the first reading today from Jeremiah 7 caused me to pause and smile - Walk in all the ways that I command you,
so that you may prosper.

Why?  Because I am so in LOVE with The Church and all that it "commands me" - I have no reservations and totally embrace all that is asked of me!  Not blindly, because all makes total and complete sense to me!  The value of all LIFE from conception to natural death, being open to life in each time of the marital embrace - no artificial birth control!  Spending time in prayer each day and Jesus in the Word, Taking advantage of The glorious Sacraments we are given by Jesus and His Bride, The Church.  

Ruth makes her life as farmer, wife and mother look so wonderful!  LOVE her love and care for her LIFE on the farm!  

The little ones look up to Joy and are brave because of her example.

Sunday best and time with the cows on 3rd Sunday of Lent.  The next day a call came from France which has got us in a spin of crazy planning and hoping for most all of us to be able to see our nun and spend one on one time with her!  

3 years ago Nancy with her family lived in Shawnee, KS, and Hallel was living with The Community there in the heart of the poor in Kansas City, Kansas inner city.  Each week they saw each other when Nancy came for her hour of Adoration.  "The kids are my magnet for Hallel to come and find me." Nancy would say.

The Anniversary of George's Baptism today brings deep sense of loss in the death of his Godmother, Emily, in the last year.  Her prayers surrounding him today we are sure!
