Madonna and child on the phone. Maria did not speak to us much as her emotions and heart was filled with concern for her sweet baby girl. They had on and off sleep overnight, and Maggie ate this morning when she was more awake.
Very tired last night - so much relief that her surgery is behind us and now for the healing with the hands of the doctors and nurses being the hands of Jesus healing our sweet girl!
In her mother's arms...
A very emotional time for mom with her sweet girl in her arms safe once again.
Jesus, we trust in you!
The cook this morning - Patrick made grandma her wonderful egg, and for others as well. It sure tasted wonderful - something about having your food cooked for you!
It also reminds me of my wonderful father, Robert, who would make me breakfast everytime I would visit him. Patrick you would sure be loved for cooking for your woman and your family!!!
This girl manages to get grandma to play card games! I generally refuse, but she puts them in my hands! These beautiful cards drew me in, too!
Suddenly Patrick joined us!
Beautiful cards and Evangeline after breakfast...
Posing much...Other grandma, Oma, with oldest sweet girl, Therese, before we go to spend an hour in prayer with Jesus in the tabernacle for 7 Sisters and Maggie!
The icon on their porch on base, which is from our Community of the Lamb!
So many prayers!!!
Gail and I both pray for our priests on Friday with 7 Sisters! They didn't mind that Maggie was on our hearts as she was in surgery for 7 hours - and was there during our prayer time. Sweet T between Mary and Joseph with Jesus there in the tabernacle!
Tiny daisies in the grass outside the church on base speak to me of our precious girl, who is on our hearts!
Stunning tree on Commander row - Wow!
We get word that the surgery is over and she will soon be with mom and dad. It went well and was "uneventful" meaning that it was as good as it can be.
The celebration begins!!! Bouncing on grandma's bed is a good way to rejoice!
A box of Easter candy is in order!
Nothing says celebrate like candy!
Our prayers are answered now healing, O Lord!
A toast from the grandmas !
Taco bar--- the cheese tester 3 year old Hector.
Yummy!
Any droppings are appreciated by Princess the elderly dog!
3 year old boy armed with light saver and plush pig goes out to battle in the backyard. After 4 girls and then a son... this grandma does not do well with the battles in the house!
Maria, Maggie and Mary the Queen of heaven and earth! Oh, and elephant!
Gathered around Facebook messenger on the computer so that they can all see their sister and mom and dad can see each of them and check in.
Gospel Jn 15:9-17
Jesus said to his disciples:
“As the Father loves me, so I also love you.
Remain in my love.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love.
“I have told you this so that my joy might be in you
and your joy might be complete.
This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this,
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I no longer call you slaves,
because a slave does not know what his master is doing.
I have called you friends,
because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another.”
A year ago today - 2 year old Hector meeting his new baby sister for the first time.
