Hallel shares her "Call" on Catholic Sprouts this week!/"the God of my gladness and joy..." - the desires of my heart are my happiness

The little birthday princess is 2 today!  Birdie Barbara celebrated with mom and dad, brother Jude and both grandparents yesterday on Mother's Day!
She is so sweet and reminds me so much of her Aunts - my original Verly girls!

Her Aunt Hallel is filling me with so much happiness and joy today thanks to Nancy's podcast, Catholic Sprouts, this week where Hallel is sharing with all the call and life of being a nun!

Take a listen - it is only 5 minutes long and filled with so much!  I am learning at her feet!  I am charmed by her reflections... All week 1. how she knew she would be a Sister.  2. About her Community....3  What it means to be married to Jesus.  4. Does prayer get boring.  5.  Are you sad about not being able to have children.   The entire week will be her sharing!  So excited

"God places desires in my heart that he wanted to fulfill.  I need to be poor to be happy - I need to leave everything for him... my family, my country.  I need to read the Bible.  The Community of the Lamb was where all my desires would be fulfilled.  If God gave me desires - he wanted to fulfill them.  That to be fulfilled and would lead to the happiness that the Lord wants for me!"

Wonderful mother - daughter-in-law, Bobbi, on Mother's Day/Good Shepherd Sunday/3rd Sunday of Easter!
Ruth's family after mass on Mother's Day!  Such a picture of being Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!
Ruth with her youngest, Thomas Robert, who is becoming an official grab nabber with his holding a rose petal.  Ruth is my oldest, followed by Christopher a miscarriage, then Nancy, Maria and Susan, followed by 2 miscarriages named Thomas and Joseph, then John, followed by 2 stillbirths at 20 weeks in the womb - William and Robert, and then a final miscarriage at age 42.  All that loss we suffered as a family brought us very close one to the other and how we cherish ALL LIFE from conception to natural death!

Sweet Birdie helping her mom sell beautiful roses for Mothers' Day from CCW!
5 year old Joy with beautiful roses for her beautiful mommy!
This touched my heart!  An older lady after mass bought 6 beautiful roses for the "best mother of all!"  Paul set them on the altar for her with his long arms!
Happy Mother's Day to the best mother of all!!!  We love you, Our Lady - you fill our days with happiness, peace and Joy with the beads bringing us to your Son through your intercession!  He loves his mother and listens to her pleas on our behalf!
Our Lady watching over Ruth and her 7 - our wonderful Farm family!  How we love and appreciate all they do for us!
Nancy with her 6 yesterday in Delano, MN!  How I am over the moon loving the work she does to plant seeds of Faith - Catholic Sprouts  and The Domestic Church Project

When she had Hallel record this week's lessons - I had no idea, but I am so happy and excited to hear each day!  I will be flying to Seattle on Wednesday, but I will continue to listen and share!  How I love to be able to hear from Hallel's lips what she holds in her heart!  Thanks, Nancy and Hallel!

The military Family yesterday giving me my mother's Day present - Maggie will be having surgery on Friday after celebrating her 1st birthday on Thursday the 12th!  The two grandmas will be there to take over at home!  We can do this!

Prayers for Maggie as she has to have an incision ear to ear and have her skull released where it closed in 24 years too soon!

Luke's First Communion card at our brunch after mass yesterday - Mother's Day on the farm!
Tommy getting from hands to mouth, and probably some teeth on the horizon.
Missing my wonderful mother, Nancy Cross, on her second mother's Day in heaven.  Dad looking on, too with my wonderful roses to express my LOVE and thankfulness for the two of them bringing the 13 into The Church 50 years ago!  How we LOVED ALL that the Church gives us with no reservations!  Each day is a gift!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!

Perfection and so much beauty to help my heart to find JOY!

Psalm 42 today speaks so much to me of The Church and the LOVE I shared with both of my parents -we were united in our Faith and now with my Most Cherished Cross, hubby Patrick, and all 33 of our domestic Church/family!  United in our Faith/Family/Farm!

Send forth your light and your fidelity;
they shall lead me on
And bring me to your holy mountain,
to your dwelling-place.
R. Athirst is my soul for the living God.
or:
R. Alleluia.
Then will I go in to the altar of God,
the God of my gladness and joy;
Then will I give you thanks upon the harp,
O God, my God!
R. Athirst is my soul for the living God.  Psalm 42

My sister shared this after they visited mom and dad and cleaned up around their grave and added a banner of Our Lady to watch over them on the bluff looking over the St Croix River close to Taylors falls, MN!  A place of great peace in the trees!

A sweet picture of my sister with her first child almost 50 years ago.  A special mother and child image for Mother's Day yesterday - she has 6 wonderful children and as many grandchildren as I do!  She also has experienced huge losses in her childbearing years.  WE are truly kindred spirits when it comes to family, and also very blessed!

Love this!!!

My roses now with the statue of Mary that is now mine after dad lived his last 6 months of his life here on the farm with me.  The paver was a gift for me at the loss of my mother!  I was comforted yesterday knowing that mom and our Lady were giving each other hugs and sending their love to us.  "Mom is praying more perfectly for her family now." my dad a few weeks after mom died in a day on March 16,2020!
I was changed into a frog by this little Good fairy - Jude!
Johnny and his little princess, 2 year old today Birdie Barbara!
9 years ago - rubber boots with a rain delay from planting.  Gus and Berna were with me on the farm while Nancy and Bill were in Scotland for a wedding!

Our 15 baby chicks are getting too big and are jumping out of the tank!
7 years ago - Therese' First Communion!  Mom wrote... Today is Therese's first Holy Communion as her mother, Maria, wrote today -" The big day is finally here, and I just finished offering my Rosary for Thérèse. May God grant her even the slightest comprehension of the immeasurable gift she is receiving today." Jesus, thank you for the gift of your Body and Blood always with us on our journey of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless
John and I sharing prayer with Jesus and Mary overnight!  Our hours of Adoration overlap and we lift up our needs - "where two are united - there am I!"
Mary and Jesus - we always end with Hail Holy Queen!
Salve Regina as The Community of the Lamb sing it each night before they go to bed!  LOVE!

Her mommy's sweet card for Birdie today!  LOVE!  Happy Birthday, sweet Birdie Barbara!  We love you so much!
From the Gospel yesterday and so true!  Hallel asks us to begin reading The Gospel for next Sunday so that we may have it deeply in our heart!  Her Community begins the night before mendicating/chewing the Gospel - repeating each line numerous times as the Holy Spirit speaks to them!  Then they go forth proclaiming the Gospel to ALL!!!
"We can't love Mary too much.  We can never love her more than her Son, Jesus!"  St Maximilian Kolbe
How blessed are we to have such a wonderful Spiritual Mother with us each step of the way down the narrow path with Heaven forever as our goal!!!
O my Jesus!!!

Dad and St Basil the Great today!  I am still being blessed by my parents as they share the journey with me of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!!!
Mom and Pope Benedict XVI about Mary - always good and so deep!
Dad left me the sweetest book written by his man, Brother Victor!  Today was super precious and dad found his beloved "name" here too!  Thanks, dad!  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 50 - 33 with us and 17 in heaven including our wonderful beloved parents!  Happy Mother's Day  to all 3 of my moms!  I am one lucky girl to have such great women with me and modeling for me how to be a woman of God!
