From dark to light!/"he had the faith to be healed..."/5th Monday of Easter is day 36 of the 50 days of Easter/So touched by Therese!

Glowing smile to let us know that Maggie is free from her wires!  She is eating and drinking so she has her IV out and there is talk of her coming home today!
Outside their front door this greeted me.  A true sign of the Faith we share here in Maria's home.  The prayers that have surrounded our sweet baby one year old, who had major surgery the day after her first birthday!
Just off the phone on Messenger - Maggie is looking through slits in both eyes, eating, smiling at her siblings, and vocalizing her happiness to see her brothers and sisters talking to her and smiling their delight!

We changed from dark to light, from mad to happy, and from discouraged to hopeful - Maria showed us Maggie totally without sight this morning and very upset about it!
When she settled down she realized that she can see out of not just one but both eyes!  Just slits, but "she can see just fine!"  Maria shared that for babies with this surgery all have this similar look of puffy and squinty.
On base - Patrick made us eggs again today!  He is 9 and very enthusiastic to be doing some cooking now!  LOVE!
Our Lady greets all on the front porch on base!  The same icon that is from Hallel's Community of the Lamb!  United in our Shared Catholic Faith!
So much beauty comes to us with each new day in The Church!!!
The 6 gathered around the computer with Maggie and mom smiling back at them!!!
Maggie would smile and pound on the table letting her brothers and sisters know that she is better and happy to see them on mom's phone!  Home sometime today is sure as she just got her drain out!
Bird's eye view of the 7 brought together on the phone and computer...  Each morning we get an update and the news is better and better!!!  Our prayers are being answered.

Now we are truly cord and tube free!
Love and prayers are getting through the hard times.  It was a time of anxiety that is passing with how well our "strong baby girl" is going forward towards healing!

Thanks to all the prayers that are surrounding us and our baby girl the healing is happening!  The First reading today from Acts 14 today speaks of how you are lifting us up with your Faith in the healing power of the name of Jesus!

"...there was a crippled man, lame from birth,
who had never walked.
He listened to Paul speaking, who looked intently at him,
saw that he had the faith to be healed,
and called out in a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet.”
He jumped up and began to walk about.  Act 14

We are expecting Maggie to walk any day, so this story from Acts could come to truth with that no doubt happening along this journey called CVR with FOA surgery to repair...her condition is Unicoronal Craniosynostosis.  One cranial suture closed 24 years early.  She had 1 procedures done  - CVR - Cranial Vault Remodeling with FOA - Frontal Orbital Advancement.  A surgery lasting 5 1/2 hours , and required numerous specialists including neurology and plastic surgery.  Her skull had to be remodeled on the left side of her skull with a font added.  Anxiety was high as all this was happening so close to her brain!  Yet, there were no nicks of the dura (covering of the brain) at all!!!

Peaceful with her baby doll from her Godmother, Maria!
LOVE to share watercolor and marker art time with the kids!
Even 14 year old Therese had to paint - as she painted with me - she shared that when she babysits she takes along the watercolors to paint with the kids...."They love to paint!  The parents come home and say that they never paint with their kids.  They really think that it is special!"

I am so touched by this as this is one of the few things that I do with my grandchildren pretty much every time we are together.  It is our special time together, and now to hear that T has taken it to now carries it forth - it speaks volumes of how this is a good thing for her in her life story!

Filled with imagination and not an open spot to fill!  Romeo amazes with his art pouring forth from his mind and heart!!
My fun watercolor of Hallel with holding the 3 babies and Maggie has her incision as we know she is being held in prayer by The Little Sisters and Brothers in prayer at mass and in Adoration with Jesus.
Beauty shop on the base - T gets her hair trimmed by a few inches by Oma.
So precise and careful - not me!

Therese asked today how many days there are in the Easter Season - 50days!  Today is Monday of the 5th week of Easter - day 36 with only 14 left till Pentecost Sunday and the end of the Easter Season.  Let the "Hallelujahs" rise to heaven as we are here surrounded by prayer, hope and LOVE!
Romeo shows me his First Communion banner!  Green crown of thorns as "I didn't have brown"  It still works and is special to us.
Now up close.  Romeo chose to add the Sacred Heart to his banner.  Deeply special for his First Communion Banner.
Therese asked her mom to take some pictures of the girls for their bedroom she shares with her 2 sisters.  Blurry but you get the idea - Maggie was about 6 months and now she is one year and just a few days!
The other frame - so wonderful that these girls know how to share a room!  Many do not have siblings these days or many siblings for sure.  Most kids have their own room, and really miss out on sharing and knowing how special it is to have many siblings!  Siblings are have no comparison to things!!!
Our Lady welcomes us to this home where she is honored and loved!   To Jesus through Mary!!!
I asked Therese if she vacumes out the couch every Monday?  "No, I just thought that it would be good to do."  Amazing!!
Chores done by all the kids today!  This grandma is in awe...

9 years ago baby Bernadette by the grain bins with a dandylion while her parents were overseas for a wedding.  A ray of sunshine for our day today!  Thank you, Lord, for our prayers being answered.  Major Joseph is on his way to bring mom and baby girl home!!! We are rejoicing and so thankful!  Lord and Lady we love and thank you and all the prayer warriors lifting us up and allowing us to have the faith for healing!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the military family on base in Washington!
