Sitting up in her elevated crib eating blueberries and goldfish!
Her crazy incision from ear to ear seems to be without pain for her! How we wondered how she would do with pain, and only tylenol seems to be all she needs. She is peaceful and sleepy.
She really loves to be by mommy! Joseph shared that when they moved her from PICU to the shared surgical room - "She stood up in her bed as they moved her down the hall, and she held onto her mom's hand. She's so strong and she sure wants her mommy to be close!" Maria holding the Mother Mary statue with a music box she found in a second hand store in Marshall. She even fixed the music box after reading on the internet how to repair it. It plays Ave Maria, and her big sisters play it for her at bedtime. It is her constant companion in the hospital, and soothes her. So sweet and special!
We are waiting to hear how her night was. I have a crowd around me as we wait for mom to call on Messenger.
The drain that is taking the fluid away after the intense surgery she went through on Friday.
Many of the pictures we see she is very peaceful! She is surrounded by so many prayers! Today in the reading from Revelations 21 really made me smile after all these surgical changes done to make Maggie more as she should be - The One who sat on the throne said,
“Behold, I make all things new.” Rev 21
Maggie is made anew! She is in the hands of Jesus and Mary - the nurses and doctors that are helping her to have a healthy happy life! "I make all things new" and Maggie too!!!
Mother and child filled with peace and hope with all the changes that are now on the mend. Healing is what we pray for now for our sweet little one year old!
Meanwhile here on the base!!! Those tiny daisies growing in the grass were woven into Evie's 5 year old hair by her big sister, Therese!
Thinking of Maggie with these tiny daisies...
Grandma got carried away with tiny daisies!!
I promise this is the last one!
Out in the sun in the back yard - Hector was needing some hugs.
A green clover for Prinny on a sunny day.
Have some clorophorm for adding some green in your diet.
Sharing night prayer as a family before bed.
Maggie looking at her sisters last night before bed. She smiled but grandma missed getting a picture of it. She definitely loves and knows her sisters! Soon she will be home to heal with love all around her!
The Gospel today!!!

"...I give you a new commandment: love one another.
As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.
This is how all will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.” John 13
Hector is named after his great great grandfather, Hector Louwagie. He was a farmer that came to the United States from Belgium around 1915. He had 10 children - Anna is Pat's mother.
Hector dressed up for mass and for his Feast Day today!
Looking cool and jazzy!
Big brother Patrick guiding Romeo as he is learning how to be an amazing altar boy like his older brothers. Romeo just had his First Communion on Easter, so now he is joining his two older brothers serving.
Now the other candle - good job!
Dad helping light the Easter Candle - he is showing the boys how to be reverent and do everything to the best of their ability!
The 3 did wonderful! Romeo shared that his hands got sweaty and it was hard to stand still for a twitchy kind of boy.
Hector watching his 3 brothers on the altar - it will definitely be in your future! As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.

if you have love for one another.” John 13

Mom and Maggie this morning - we just got off of a video chat with them and were told that Maggie slept all night and both mom and Maggie had a good night's sleep! She is eating well and able to see through her right eye! That is a surprise as we were warned that her eyes could both be totally shut today. It is so hard when they can't see at all - this peeking eye is a gift today. Thank you, Lord!!!
Maggie is so content! "It is like she isn't in any pain." was how Patrick described her peaceful appearance. Mom agrees that her pain is minimal and what bothers her the most is probably her eyes.
Meanwhile on the farm after mass and Brunch this morning... Grandpa Pat took some little ones on the 4wheeler. Thomas with Joy and Birdie.
Thomas with Jude and Joy...
A throwback 9 years to Mary, tulips, and Rose and Bernadette with the kitty of that year.
