time with Tom, Joy and kittens/"a place of prayer." - Hallel Psalm 149, and "the Spirit of Truth"

Tom sitting in his bumbo yesterday while grandma fed him some bananas and graham crackers.  He is such a smiley happy sweet little guy!
Lots of purple with my favorite lilacs and his seat... His whole face lights up with joy!
In his exersaucer - getting his first taste of water from a sippy cup was so great!
We made the last trip out with cows and cavles to a new pasture.  These 3 worked out there keeping them penned up to bond with their calves and then let them out into the big pasture and pen up the next bunch.  About 70 pairs all together.
When we got back from our ride along - all 9 kittens were in a pile of purring softness, and Tom smiled to make it picture perfect!
Every spring this will be what you can expect, Tom - Kittens of all colores under the rainbow.  The last few years these siamese type markings come.
Even with the blue eyes...
2 greys
Orange markings for a different type of Siamese... with the blue eyes too.
More gray.
Tom thinks that kittens everywhere is just plain normal.
Learning how to pet them nice from big sister, Joy.
Arms full of cuteness overload.  No wonder grandma can't stop snapping pictures!
Licking Tom's hands - they liked bananas and graham crackers too.  Just don't take a bite you naughty naughty kittens with your cute mittens!

I am just in off the mower after a couple weeks the grass was very long indeed!  Today was my trip to Balaton with Meals on Wheels and the time in the car allows me to have "a place of prayer" in my chapel on wheels.  It is just about perfect for me to get my 5 decades of my rosary in.  I loved in the first reading today where Paul looks for those, who would listen to The Good News, and we meet Lydia!

On the sabbath we went outside the city gate along the river
where we thought there would be a place of prayer.
We sat and spoke with the women who had gathered there.
One of them, a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth,
from the city of Thyatira, a worshiper of God, listened,
and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention
to what Paul was saying.
After she and her household had been baptized,
she offered us an invitation,
“If you consider me a believer in the Lord,
come and stay at my home,” and she prevailed on us. Acts 16

Adorable art project that Joy made in preschool... one bird is winking!

Following this sweet story of Lydia - we have an Hallel Psalm 149!  That means a Psalm of total praise of God, which the last 5 are that - Psalm 145 - Psalm 150 are Hallel Psalms!

Responsorial Psalm 149:1b-2, 3-4, 5-6a and 9b

R.        (see 4a)  The Lord takes delight in his people.
or:
R.        Alleluia.
Sing to the LORD a new song
of praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Let Israel be glad in their maker,
let the children of Zion rejoice in their king.
R.        The Lord takes delight in his people.
or:
R.        Alleluia.
Let them praise his name in the festive dance,
let them sing praise to him with timbrel and harp.
For the LORD loves his people,
and he adorns the lowly with victory.
R.        The Lord takes delight in his people.
or:
R.        Alleluia.
Let the faithful exult in glory;
let them sing for joy upon their couches.
Let the high praises of God be in their throats.
This is the glory of all his faithful. Alleluia.
R.        The Lord takes delight in his people.
or:
R.        Alleluia.

I took lilacs along with my prayer in Adoration on the first hour of Monday - 12mn-1a!  Many prayers for the farmers that the crop may get planted as we are now a month behind!  John and I pray together as we overlap and lift up many needs together!

After John leaves I do my litany of our families!  Last night I prayed for the first time for a newborn by her wonderful name, Cecilia Alysandra!  Such JOY to place her in the monstrance for the first time on now born to Sam and Kara!  I also delighted in praying for a new life in the womb for the first time!  The best!

The Gospel today is filled with so much Truth!

Jesus said to his disciples:
“When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father,
he will testify to me.
And you also testify,
because you have been with me from the beginning..."

The Holy Spirit is alive in us and shows us The Way, the Truth and the LIFE - Jesus, who is in control in the storms of life and not we ourselves.  We need Jesus!

Smell the aroma of spring
Good to be back after a week away in Seattle.  No better time than my hour with Jesus - the best hour of my week!
Raise the smell of incense to the Lord our Savior.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 51  - 34 here and 17 in heaven including our parents!
