Last day of the fair/3 days till our trip to Virginia/Maria's birthday/St Maximilian/Divided nation by The Truth

Our 3rd daughter, Maria Theresa Clare is having her 39th birthday today!  She is the mother of 7 and the wife of Major Joseph, who is a JAG officer in the army.  They will be moving to Charlottsville, Virginia next week from Fort Lewis, Washington.  Yes, from the West Coast to the East Coast.

Pat and I and possibly a few grandkids will be heading there on early Thursday morning with our livestock trailer full of their possessions.  Road Trip!!!

Maria and Ruth's baby Thomas when they were here for our big anniversary party on the 3rd of August!
Maria also had a baby with her two older sisters last year.  Magdalene is 6 months older than the other 2, and we predict they will all be cousin/friends for their lifetime.
Maggie wants to join the lap party, and hang with mom and cousin, Tom.
Those fingers are the best!!!
Maria 10 years ago by the Manistique, MI lighthouse with her 2 oldest - Therse, who is now 14 and David who is going to be 13 in December.  She has since added 5 children to their homeschool military family.
Sharing mass with 24 including one in the womb this morning of the 34 in our family - only missing Maria and her family of 9 and Hallel in France.  Yet we are united in The Eucharist as they are also at mass!

Nancy's Josephine greets her little cousins, Jude and Birdie after sharing mass on this 20th Sunday of Ordinary time.  It is not only Maria's birthday, which has happened many times over the years on Fair weekend, but it is also a special feast day of St Maximilian Kolbe, who died in Aushwitz during WW2.

The Lord's Day is the lord of days...
but also remembering St Maximilian Kolbe today...

Bring joy to your servant, for to you, O Lord,
I lift up my soul. - Psalm 86:4

"You come to me
and unite Yourself

intimately to me
under the form of nourishment.
Your Blood now runs in mine,
Your Soul, Incarnate God, compenetrates mine,
giving courage and support.
What miracles!

Who would have ever imagined such!

“When the conquest for the Immaculate of the whole world
and of every single soul now living or to live until the end of the world,
and through Her for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is completed, ...
then souls will love the Sacred Heart as they have never as yet loved Him,
because like Her they will have been immersed as never before in the
mystery of love: the Cross, the Eucharist. Through Her the love of God
will inflame the world, will set it on fire, and will effect the
‘assumption’ of souls,... the divinization of the entire world.”

St Maximilian, pray for us!

How we love to share our Faith as a family.
Gus and David are out at the fair for the big Ribbon Auction where they will sell their animals to the highest bidders for their ribbons.
Fr Denny's homily today was wonderful where he spoke plainly about the way our country is divided by the Truth which reveals to us all that is beautiful and good.  Notes that I took from his sharing of the Gospel where Jesus speaks this..."I have come to set the earth on fire,

and how I wish it were already blazing!
There is a baptism with which I must be baptized,
and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished!
Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth?
No, I tell you, but rather division..."  Luke 12

My assistant while I write here in my office - 8 month old Regina Maria - Queen Mary and adorable bunny!

My notes:  God is truth, beauty, and goodness.  Jesus gave his LIFE as proof of that LOVE.  Wonder at the beauty around us.  This is a divided nation.  When Jesus speaks harshly about setting the world on fire - the Holy Spirit is Truth and that will cause division.  Jesus came to speak the Truth!  The Holy Spirit makes clear The Truth - yet, Jesus comes to bring lasting peace.  We are asked to choose of following Jesus or not?  Our human heart is hardened by sin.  The Holy Spirit shows us our wrongs and sins .  This is a corrupt culture we are in the midst of.  Look to the example of the martyrs that gave up their lives rather than give in to sin.  Always have the courage to choose the Truth.  Turn to the Holy Spirit so that we may always be faithful!  Fr Denny

Grandma got distracted
The smile!
The sweet look...
3 round pink faces to end this for today - off for the last day of the fair!  6 grandkids in the Ribbon Auction will keep grandpa opening his checkbook over and over.  How we love our 4H!!!  Jesus, we trust in you.  St Maximilian pray for us.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 54 - 34 with us and 20 in heaven.

Nancy and Bill's beautiful church today - St Maximilian!

Dad today in the prayerbook he left behind for me after 44 years as a Permanent Deacon in The Church after he brought the 13 into The Church 50 years ago.  I love to see this knowing that dad and mom are with The Communion of Saints in heaven united with us in the mass!!!
