Her grandpa Patrick is 100% Belgian, so it is appropriate for her to have candy in one hand and her Belgian flag in the other at the parade! "Birdie representing the Verly Belgians." Bobbi wrote
Two cousin besties at mass today - Rose Again and Bernadette. Berna is staying on the farm as she is now a member of Lyon County 4H and is showing a pig at the fair! Today is clean up day at the fair and also they are putting together the Lake Marshall Booth for competition. Gus and Bernadette are going to get initiated really well starting today!
2 of Nancy's and 7 of Ruth's along with John's 2 = 11 kids at mass today along with 6 adults. How we love to share our Faith each Sunday as a family - today is the 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time, and the after effects of our special 44th Anniversary on Wednesday August 3rd continue to lift us up to great heights on the Mountain!
Birdie, Joy, Berna and Rose went shopping with us for brunch after mass. A car load of girls!
Pipedreams and big ideas are flying around with this cute house across from the Church. Future Airbnb? They were joking that when I am old and crotchety that they could put a ramp from my door to the Church and I could semi live my contemplative life of prayer to end my days...
The visions of Ruth and Paul are quite out of this world!
Time will tell, and lots of prayers too.
Simon and Mary organize the goodies, while Paul and assorted others do the fruit...
Blessing our food and then dive in!
A feast of great celebration/party after sharing Jesus in his Word, Body and Blood! Today in the readings from Hebrews 11 - Faith is the realization of what is hoped for
and evidence of things not seen.
Yes, it is a matter of our Faith each week as we take into our selves Jesus! We believe that the bread and wine becomes in reality his Body and Blood! The Saints and our beloved dead are also there with us in the cloud of witnesses at mass!
Renew in your soul a sense of awe and wonder at what happens at the consecration. The Catholic Church firmly believes that after the words of consecration said by a priest at Mass, by the power of the Holy Spirit, bread and wine are transformed into the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ.
Jesus has not put this attraction
in your heart for nothing... "

Birdie about to become super dirty with a cupcake - how they love to share mass and breakfast with their cousins. Today Jude cried because he did not want to go home so soon - they were all getting ready for the fair so not the day to play - work to be done!
So much JOY with mom and dad leaving me their wonderful prayer books after bringing me into The Church 50 years ago. I lost them both 2 years ago - mom in a day in March after a fall, and dad 7 months later after spending the last 6 here with me on the farm - our farm monastery was filled with morning prayer and evening prayer and chaplet and rosary at 3p on my porch! Allowing me to share in my dad's religious life as a Permanent Deacon in The Catholic Church for 44 years!
Today the "King and Queen" was echoed from our special day where we were crowned and affirmed!
Always 3 to make it complete! Fair memories from 7 years ago - pig show Just around the corner for 2022!
The prayer book that mom left for me - Pope Benedict XVI daily! Today how our weaknesses remind us that we need Jesus! Rose and Berna are always up to something strange...
How is that for cute to end this rambling for today? Now to be fair with hubby to turn hamburgers for the 4Hers! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara and all
