CCC 2022 to begin! Maria just hours away, Nancy too, Joe flying, farm families too!/Regina Maria is one!!!!

John and Bobbi with baby Jude and Birdie on the way at Cross Christmas Camp 2019 with my wonderful dad, who made the trip.  Now we will welcome #3 in a few weeks!

CCC three years ago my dad came from the Cities to be with his family on Camp Wapo!  Mom stayed at their Assisted living and after sharing the big meal and family pictures - Pat and I took dad back to be with mom.  The following year they both passed away just 7 months apart.

Dad with Ruth and Bobbi 3 years ago, the following year there was no camp due to covid, and last year it was just the "die hards" of about 60, which is still a good fun number.  This year with Maria coming from Charlottesville and Sam and family from Montreal we will be close to 70 of my huge family of 140+!
The official picture of CCC 2019!  This year I am bringing my pictures of mom and dad to be in the heart of our picture for 2022!  I also have a picture of Hallel to add to our family picture to make it complete!

The farm family added Thomas a year ago.  He was one of November 19th and today his cousin, Regina Maria is joining him as it is her birthday today.  I am so excited to get my 3 babies together at CCC 2022!  Maria's Maggie, Nancy's Regina, and Ruth's Tom!

Dad receiving a gift we all made for him and mom to have at their assisted living made from our handprints.

My heart is racing with anxiety as well as excitement!  I am praying so hard for all the travelers and get updates from time to time to add to the feeling of being in many places at the same time.  Maria started out by van from Charlottesville yesterday morning at 5:30a to beat the ice they were predicting.  She has had clear and dry roads even now in Wisconsin where there is snow on the side of the road and every branch of the trees, but the roads are clear and dry.  She will arrive at camp at about 5p!

2 of the 3 little boys at CCC 2019!  This year with Maria coming we will have all 3 of our little boys together - Maria's Hector, John's Jude, and Nancy's George!  They are each 3 weeks apart from each other - 3 boys in 6 weeks!  There will be many memories and pictures of the 3 amigos!
Tom a month and Gina just days old a year ago!
Our 2 new babies last year as we gathered for CCC 2021 after a year off for covid.  Looking back at that most difficult time we are so filled with JOY to be able to gather in our winter wonderland.  We have heard that up near Amery, WI they have gotten 20 inches of snow or more!

The others traveling and on my radar of prayer and hope and longing is my son-in-law, Major Joseph, whose flight was delayed.  He struck up a conversation with another family coming to Minnesota, and they all changed their flights to fly direct from Washington DC to Minneapolis!  He will ride along with them to the airport in DC and arrive here about an hour later than planned.  My other son-in-law, Bill, will pick him up and the two of them will travel the hour to CCC!  Providence indeed, but still praying that the flights happen now as the changed plans say.  Hear our Prayer for safe travels and flights you can count on with the weather and all.

Proud loving big brothers a year ago each with their new babies!  Big Dave with baby Thomas, and Gus with his newborn sister, Regina Maria!  Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!  Thomas was Ruth's 7th, and Regina was Nancy's 6th!

Bobbi and Birdie meeting Regina a year ago after we got back from CCC.  This year we will arrive at CCC 2022 to sing "Happy Birthday Regina!"  and "God is blessing you now."  I asked Nancy to try to find a crown in her costume box as her name means - Queen Mary!  In a month Birdie will be a great big sister I am sure!

Last year I stepped back in time about 30 years and brought Nancy's 5 older kids to CCC on my own!  They stayed back with their new baby Regina!  It was great, and the kids said it was the "best camp ever!"  Mayb because grandma and grandpa spoiled them rotten!
CCC 2021 will be bigger this year!  We expect close to 70 or more!  We have had a challenging week
with lots of rain, ice and snow.  All the week of school was canceled just about.  It has let up today and so we are venturing out from 4 different directions - Maria from the East, Nancy from the West , us from the Southwest, and Joseph from the air!  PRAYERS without CEASING!

After this picture we had Santa and then our "dance!"  We turn off the lights, the kids have finger lights, the music is lively and we have a video going too!  Our nephew Sam knows how to have a great fun dance!

4 week old Tom last year with his mom by baby Jesus!  Such a sweet precious sign of new LIFE , which is the Best Gift we ever receive from Jesus to each new LIFE we are blessed with to make our LOVE grow bigger and more and more!

We share the meals - this year we are doing the BIG meal on Saturday night!  We are making a Christmas Dinner!  My nerves are a bit jangled but I am hugely relieved to know that I will have 3 of my girls to help me pull it together!  LOVE our family, and how we love to all share my Cross Christmas Camp which mom and dad started in 1985 the year before my sister, Mary, died of cancer at age 28!  So that is 37 years of CCC!  How we love every minute of it!

Matching last year - 2 of Nancy's with Birdie

There is another special anniversary that lands at Christmas for my family - the Crosses!  It will be 51 years since our family of 13 became Catholic and received our First Communion at The Cenacle Convent in Wayzata!  Such an amazing gift with each new day!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!

Our group of 3 from 10 years ago!  They are all 10 years old now.  I will have to get them together for CCC 2022!  LOVE!

My family 10 years ago at CCC - this year we will all have matching Tshirts and I am bringing a picture of Hallel so that it will truly be all of us in the picture!
An armload of boys that are all 9 and 8 now - so about 7 years ago!  How we love our groups of cousins!  Nothing better than to have a life-long friend to grow up with!  I will have to grandpa with an armload of the 3 babies this year!  Maggie, Tom and Regina!

So many prayers and so much excitement for our gathering!  Jesus, we love you and trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 54 - 34 with us and 20 in heaven keeping our eyes and hearts and souls focused on joining them in Heaven forever with our Lord and Lady, the Angels and Saints along with mom and dad, my sister, Mary, and all our dead!
