Ice storm allows me to stay home/St Lucy/CCC on the horizon - excitement for Family time in name of Robert and Nancy

LOVE this wonderful art work 3 years ago by Bernadette and her siblings.  How we rejoice on this 3rd week of Advent with all we are given with each day leading up to Christmas!  Yesterday the gift of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who brought the Americas to The True Church with our Lord and Lady along with all the Angels and Saints!

Today is the beautiful St Lucy, who shows us what truly matters in our journey - that we love Jesus and Mary and strive to be in heaven forever with them.

Today is rain turning to ice, and so I am home due to all being canceled including school for the farm kids.  "Are the kids excited?  Well, they have to go out and so chores with Paul."  was Ruth's response.

Such an outpouring for Our Lady!!!
Our Joy during Advent is turning off the TV and sharing prayer together by the Advent wreath.  Last night the special Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which was gifted to me from Son-in-law, Bill, who was in Mexico for work.  We were stirred deeply by our reading from our devotionals and readings from mass and those for tomorrow!

We have learned from our daughter's Community of the Lamb to begin reading the Gospel the night before so that the Holy Spirit can speak to our hearts, minds and souls.  We can than take it out to the world with us - Go and Proclaim the Gospel!

LOVE my parents joining us!

I had never heard these beautiful words from Mary to Juan Diego.  So powerful and True - it resulted in her coming coverting 7 million!

Time for some new candles for week one and two.  Our Lady of Perpetual Help image is in our church and very true for me personally as she is my constant motherly companion on my journey of prayer without ceasing each day- the Rosary!
LIGHT in the midst of the darkness as we approach the shortest day of the year.  So glorious for us as we are given so very much each day of our journey.  So blessed!
LOVE this!!!  She is the patroness of LIFE as her black sash indicates that she is pregnant with Jesus!
So much here - take some time to look it over- it is entirely a miracle and Truth that our Mother Mary comes to us out of LOVE for her children that are humble and lowly.
How we need this help.

From Fr. Peter Zorjan
"Happy feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe! This picture was taken early this morning at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City…For the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe it is estimated that an additional 5-6 million pilgrims come from around the world to celebrate the feast…a lot of love for Our Lady of Guadalupe this week as there should be…the Catholic faith is definitely alive…"

LOVE!  Nothing more wonderful than to have our Spiritual Mother of God!

St Lucy today.
9 years ago baby Luke...  They have since added 2 more siblings now with Joy and Thomas Robert.
LOVE this from Manistique lighthouse where my parents had a vacation home/retirement home for about 15 years.  So special to us and so sweet to see this at this time of year!  The snowy backdrop and the evergreen trees with the bright red lighthouse.  Very festive and special to me!
Felix under the tree...
Hunkered down for the coming weather.  So many prayers for all those traveling for our family gathering at CCC in a few days.  Especially my daughter, Maria, coming from Charlottesville, Virginia and driving for 2 days to get to CCC on Friday afternoon.
purry Felix on my lap while I watch the Voice.
Snuggly and purry.
Sweetness and LIFE!
Yes!!!!  Rosary each day is PRAYER that fills me with PEACE!
Put in a house of prostitution to break her, and left there untouched.
My dad and The Name!  He underlines wherever he finds it in the Prayer of The Church, which he left behind for me.  Such a wonderful blessing to me as though he and mom are continuing to guide and teach me!

As we gather in a few days in the name of Robert and Nancy Cross - at least half of our huge family of 140+!  Even with those that don't come we still have a large happy group gathering for Christmas Camp!  My JOY is for those to come for the time that they want to be there.
St Mother Teresa of Calcutta today - I love the reminder that I need to smile in my own home more!
Pope Benedict today is from the book mom read for 10 years every day.  I am on my second year and realize that he is such an intelligent man, and I will never take it all to heart.

With my family gathering and the hurts that are there - my attitude is that I don't want a war, and peace is my goal.  That comes to us only through "humility, self-surrender, and service."  Lord, hear my prayer for peace and healing and forgiveness.  "We all do wrong and no one is perfect."  a close friend reminded me.
Now dad's man, Brother Victor, and dad.  Isaiah is huge for Advent!  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 54 - 34 here and 20 in heaven.
