Sharing the rosary as we looked out over the snow covered lake from the huge windows... yesterday morning... by evening we were 75 strong with only 9 missing from the now 84 that my family has become!
Not the best clearest picture... but we gathered for the official family shot before the arrival of Santa and we sang him ,"Joy to the World." Then there were petitions to the baby Jesus... the most precious coming from the mouths of the little ones - "Jesus thank you for giving." "Jesus, I want to pray for my brother and sister." said 6 year old Simon.
I was even able to dress my girls alike again... my two grandgirls that is! Too wonderful! Their moms won't let me put the ribbons and bows in their hair like I did their's though... This is good enough for me! Our family's joy abounds... Joseph flew home to be home for two weeks with his family for Christmas! WE are thrilled and so happy for Maria and the kids to be able to have their family together for the Holidays! Thank you Jesus!
Family is so important and appreciated at this time of year when the Holy Family is reverenced and celebrated...From the Gospel today...Matthew 1:18-24 "Behold , the Virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call him Emmanuel, which means 'God is with us.' When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel had commanded him and took his wife into his home." The Lord is truly with us and we rejoice at the gift of our wonderful family - your domestic Church here on earth!
Bless-bless, Barb
"Sometimes it is harder for us to smile at those who live with us, the immediate members of our families, than to smile at those who are not so close to us.
Let us never forget: love begins at home." Blessed Teresa of Calcutta
