The house is empty... just Pat and I, and with the fall work ...for quite a while it would just be me. The TV is turned off early tonight - Pat is reading a new Reader's Digest that came in the mail today. Quiet is good, but there are times that we don't put the effort into sharing with each other. It seems that to share takes a lot of energy and patience, but it is so important too. Lord, help us to listen with our hearts to the concerns of each other. With the kids grown and our house quiet from the noises of the kids.. may we not escape into the noise of the TV, or the quiet of our own little world here in front of the computer, or alone in a book. Pat is so good about sharing what he reads,but I am not the best listener. Lord, may we carve out good shared time of an old couple with an empty nest. Jesus, we trust in you. Help us to keep growing in LOVE. Bless-bless
