Fair thee well dear Michigan!

Grandma took s few minutes to do their hair and to snap a few of  the two baby granddaughters in the midst of cleaning our cabin with a heavy heart as our 2 wonderful weeks come to an end in Michigan.  It was another glorious day, but it was not to be enjoyed.  I would take a minute to look longingly out at the huge lake out our windows and "bottle" the coolness and the beauty to carry in my heart until next year.  I think we are ready to return to our own beds and lives at home, but we will carry close to our hearts this time we came together in close family sharing.  Along with that closeness is some times when you have to set yourself aside and give without counting the cost.  That is what our Lord calls us to do after all, and within our domestic Church/family there is no better place to do that very thing.  We are now wearily heading to bed at Nancy's place here in the Cities after about 8 hours on the road.
Little Rose Ida - mom is starting to call Sassafrass, because she can holler with the best of them.  She can also give you the sweetest ever big smile and kisses.  Coming home was very interesting with her today.  But she got to know grandma really well over these last two weeks!  Well, off to bed with visions of the blue lake and the waves rolling in as we drove past our favorite swimming beach with the white sugar sand - looking like a tropical paradise!  Tears were in my eyes as I said my final farewell to the Big Lake!
Our last night on Beautiful Beach!
