Grandpa gets safely here to spend time with his family

Surrounded by grandkids, a tired but excited to be here - grandpa - arrives to do some work on the cabin, but mostly to have some good family time here on the Big Lake.
Time with the grandkids on the beach as the sun came out after a dark rainy day.   We all did get into the water, although grandpa felt that it was cold at first.  He had to get in there with the grandkids asking him to come in.  Mary and Simon love for grandpa to throw them in the water.  Dave is not quite brave enough yet.
Bernadette got her first ice cream cone tonight.  I think she got over thinking that grandpa was that big scary guy...
Rose presides over the table - the first meal with grandpa at the Big Lake - she remembers her grandpa and is very happy to see him as are the others and Gus!  We cherish this time with our wonderful husband, father, and grandfather!  Pat said at supper that his fondest wish is for the kids to grow up knowing and enjoying each other.  This is a wonderful way for that to happen.  Pat is determined to have Maria and her kids here next year.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
Out to pick a bouquet for grandpa coming today, and found a lone Black-eyed Susan in the ditch with the others... a reminder of the prayers of Susan/Hallel are with us although she cannot join us.  I do miss her, and there are small reminders that Hallel loved it here and is with us in Spirit and in Truth of our shared faith in Him and His Bride, The Church.
Out on a walk to welcome Pat as he was to arrive shortly down our road to the cabin!
He's here!!!!   Already with an armload of babies, and that is what makes grandpa the happiest ever!
Mary and Gus looking out the window for grandpa to drive up... then we went out to welcome him.
