"That Lady is always with me - I love her a lot!" Rose Ida

I didn't get a lot of smiles out of Rose yesterday, but the sweetest loving smile came from her when she patted and kissed the statue of Our Lady in my Mary Garden.  It was so beautiful to watch her older sister, Mary, who is now 7 show the same kind of instant unreserved LOVE for Mary since she was 1 year old too!  So beautiful and quite miraculous to see the recognition that this Lady is special to us.  Yes, she has a statue at her house too, and is very familiar and a true sign of being special and to be held close to our hearts.  Today in the Gospel we ask Jesus to show us how to pray the way that He does - "we want to experience the union and confidence that Jesus experiences when he prays."  see www.magnificat.com We constantly request something of Our Lord and He listens and answers our call for help!  When the Gospel was read in mass this morning we all were thinking about John and how we stormed heaven along with hunderds of prayer warriors... "And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; and knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives; the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks , the door will be opened..."  Luke 11 Pat leaned over to me after this was read and asked me if I was thinking about John too?  We pestered God like crazy when he had cancer, and he answered all those prayers!
So sweet!!!
How wonderful to have that confidence - "the disciples beg to live their lives with the certainty, passion and conviction of Jesus Christ."  We are filled with the knowledge and LOVE of our spiritual family - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.  Then we also have the Mother of God along with all the Saints and our guardian Angels watching over us.  We can be certain of LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT that are filling us and directing us as we live in the Spirit and cry out with recognition - "Abba, father!"
Jesus, may we come to YOU and know that we can give without counting the cost as YOU have demonstrated to us in taking all of our sins/dead in our transgressions -"he removed it from our midst, nailing it to the Cross."  Colossians 2: 12-14  We can leave those sins behind in the confessional and then walk with great freedom into our world - domestic Church/family- giving and serving without the weight of our selfish desires and wishes.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
"Are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?  We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life."  Romans 6:3-4
The royal carriage...  such a glorious view and day!

Pasture full of wild flowers and clovers!
Hearts unfold like flowers before thee!!!
Sister Act 2 - Joyful Joyful We adore thee!   Sunday JOY - I really felt a peacefulness and contentment being in mass next to my husband and son today!  I thought - "we really should yearn to be here with YOU, O Lord.  We should be so filled with JOY at the presentation of Your Word!  And join in the worship as Heaven comes down to earth at the Banquet of Heaven and earth when we eat Your Body and drink Your Blood and find LIFE eternal!  Thank you, Lord, along with Your Father and Mother, Mary Most Holy... I love you with my LIFE!"
