"Go make disciples of all peoples" - theme of world Youth Day in Brazil, July 23-28

4 year old David is learning how to take pictures and that makes a snapshot of grandpa with all the little ones around him.  We feel like a tornado has hit us here named grandpa...he is looking at things around the cabin to fix - he has been up on the ladder looking at the roof, to town to get parts to fix the bathtub drain with 3 boys in tow, on the phone a lot, and of course spoiling grandkids with candy and chips and anything else he can find.

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI shared this with the young people of the world:
"Christ sends you whenever his light is lacking so that you take it to others... Allow yourselves to be led on by the power of God's love.  Let that love overcome the tendency to remain enclosed in your own world with your own problems and your own habits.  Have the courage to 'go out' from yourselves in order to 'go forth' towards others and to show them the way to an encounter with God...  Thus, with your faith, will help make trust spring up on this earth."

Lord, may we take the words of our former pope to heart and look outside of our little selfish world and love and serve all those in our domestic Church/family.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Halleluia
