Four year ago on the vigil of the feast of the Queenship of Mary we were in France and filled with such wonder and awe at the sight before us... as our Susan took the habit of the Community of the Lamb and changed her name to Little Sister Hallel! It was a sudden intercession of the Holy Spirit that we even found ourselves there - we felt as though we had flown there on the wings of all the angelic prayers that surrounded us as we had just completed John's second chemo for his brain cancer, and rather than have adverse side effects - he had gotten better! He had made it to the bathroom on his own the night before we left, and suddenly going looked to be a possibility after all! 24 hours later we were on our way, and arrived in France to be with Susan as she took this major step in her journey of Faith. John being there was a very powerful gift for both Susan and John as they longed to share one with the other as each faced such huge challenging/life-changing moments in their lives - John in the fight for his LIFE, and Hallel in giving her LIFE entirely to Christ as His Bride! Our heads were spinning as were our hearts, minds and souls. We were covered as with a huge storm of LIFE that was threatening to bring us to the depths of the sea - But Christ stood up and calmed the storm and took us by the hand as we began to sink into the water! We were reminded on the first day of our journey called cancer/healing by Hallel when we called France to tell her that there was something in John's brain - "Mom, did you hear the Gospel for today?" Jesus calming the storm. "This is the storm and Jesus is in control." YES!!!!
Jesus, we love you and thank you for the power of YOU and your Mother, Mary Most Holy, on this day! We can know of all the JOY and excitement happening in Saint Pierre this day with the many that are giving their lives totally to YOU in the taking of their final vows this day! The feasting on the hillside with family and friends as they celebrate this huge step of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! The taking of the Lamb into their souls - "Wounded, I will not cease to LOVE." We look to YOU on the Cross, O Lord. We know that in embracing our Most Cherished Cross we find LIFE everlasting! Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barb
"Many are invited, but few are chosen." Jesus speaking to us in the Gospel today in Matt 22 of the wedding feast. We feel so blessed, Lord, to be able to share in Hallel's call from YOU to come and be your spouse! May other young people consider this beautiful possibility in their lives - bring more LIGHT into the darkness.
We thank and praise you for John's healing and ask that YOU give him direction down narrow path as he carries his Most Cherished Cross and follows after YOU to LIGHT/LIFE/LOVE.

Blessed Teresa shows us how to touch HIM!
A clean heart is a free heart. A free heart can love Christ with an undivided love in chastity, convinced that nothing and nobody will separate it from his love. Purity, chastity, and virginity created a special beauty in Mary that attracted God’s attention. He showed his great love for the world by giving Jesus to her.
There is a terrible hunger for love. We all experience that in our lives - the pain, the loneliness. We must have the courage to recognize it. The poor you may have right in your own family.
Find them. Love them. Before you speak, it is necessary for you to listen, for God speaks in the silence of the heart.
Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness.
Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don't only give your care, but give your heart as well.
The more you have, the more you are occupied, the less you give. But the less you have the more free you are. Poverty for us is a freedom. It is not mortification, a penance.
It is joyful freedom. There is no television here, no this, no that. But we are perfectly happy.
I pray that you will understand the words of Jesus, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Ask yourself “How has he loved me? Do I really love others in the same way?” Unless this love is among us, we can kill ourselves with work and it will only be work, not love. Work without love is slavery.
Little things are indeed little, but to be faithful in little things is a great thing.
A sacrifice to be real must cost, must hurt, must empty ourselves. The fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service, the fruit of service is peace.
