All of us with Pat's mom the other night...
The grandkids watching their last movie in their grandparents' bedroom on the farm. The bed and dresser are now gone, and we slept in one of the bedrooms upstairs last night. Walls are coming out on Monday and this bedroom will become a kitchen!
Our bed has now moved over to Ruth and Paul's house. We are going over to share a meal before they head off to their new place! All of us are moving at the same time!
David taking down my Christmas tree on New Year's Eve... we are on the move with big changes to our house first.
The world is a beautiful white on this New Years Day 2016!
Sharing mass - the Solemnity (Pat's sister claimed that all her years in Catholic school she has never heard the term Solemnity. "They called it the Feast of Mary. Solemnity was too big a word to use with kids, I suppose.") "a formal, dignified rite or ceremony" is the meaning.
Army boys went back to visit the Nativity Scene which our kids and Pat grew up with in the front of Church! David was busy counting the sheep!
Rose and Therese in the LIGHT! How I loved to have John 1 for the Gospel yesterday! You know me and my LIGHT/LOVE/LIFE through Jesus, His Bride The Church and The Cross...
Gospel Jn 1:1-18
"In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came to be through him,
and without him nothing came to be.
What came to be through him was life,
and this life was the light of the human race;
the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.
A man named John was sent from God.
He came for testimony, to testify to the light,
so that all might believe through him.
He was not the light,
but came to testify to the light.
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.
He was in the world,
and the world came to be through him,
but the world did not know him.
He came to what was his own,
but his own people did not accept him.
But to those who did accept him
he gave power to become children of God,
to those who believe in his name,
who were born not by natural generation
nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision
but of God.
And the Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us,
and we saw his glory,
the glory as of the Father’s only-begotten Son,
full of grace and truth.
John testified to him and cried out, saying,
“This was he of whom I said,
‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me
because he existed before me.’”
From his fullness we have all received,
grace in place of grace,
because while the law was given through Moses,
grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
No one has ever seen God.
The only-begotten Son, God, who is at the Father’s side,
has revealed him."
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

Every last word is a beautiful song of Truth and Joy!
Patrick, too! The light is a good problem to have in my pictures... so bright and warm!
Maria's 4 in front of the stable of humble Jesus born to a virgin named Mary. He was God and man and that means that it is no exaggeration to call her Mary the Mother of God!
"Abba, Father!" Lord, I long to come to you with each new day and now with the New Year that is ahead of us. May we make the hard changes needed to be more yours and to arrive in heaven forever with you... that is our heart's desire! "The true LIGHT which enlightens everyone has come into the world." Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
