We share Jesus by our LOVE!

Little Sister Sarah introduces a young neighborhood boy to the Archbishop of KC!  We were blessed with a glorious Sunday mass shared with a packed chapel - Lumen Christi/ Light of Christ - this morning.  Many gathered to spend time with the foundress, Little Sister Marie, and to share mass with the Archbishop. 

"Bill, welcome to Kansas City, and you are wearing Little Sister and brother blue!"  "Yes, I am aren't I?"  How it warms my heart for Bill and Nancy to have family/ Community of the Lamb in their new town - Kansas City!

A wonderful homily by Archbishop... "In our families we become very close and it can be hard to be loving and forgiving, but we are called to help each other become better people.  We are asked to become Jesus in that LOVE outlined in I Corinthians 13.  That is how we bring Jesus to the world around us...

1 Corinthians 13New International Version (NIV) 13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. This can never come to us too often!  This so convicts me at how poorly I love.  Better tomorrow, is my prayer! The kids were very good today, and Dominic enjoyed looking a picture of mom with her siblings - Ruth, Nancy and Maria are all holding their babies at that time... now they are the 3 year olds... The Eucharist/Jesus feeding us for the call to LOVE without counting the cost! A warm welcome to Nancy and Bill, who will be here now.  So amazing to have such wonderful roots already planted here.  The Archbishop invited The Community to come to the U.S. and how it warms his heart to see them growing and spreading love in the heart of our country filled with darkness and the culture of death.  LIGHT of Christ in the heart of our country! Had a wonderful conversation with my dear friend over the years with The Community of the Lamb. "I went alone to Saint Pierre, and I lived with the Little Brothers.  It was during Holy Week so we were silent, and prayed throughout the night.  It was the most wonderful week of my life.  I wanted to stay and live their life, but I knew I had to return to my family."  To look into the eyes of this humble man and see The LIGHT within brought tears to my eyes!  He gifted me with a rosary years back just as they were driving to Mexico to introduce their new baby daughter to his family 6 years ago.  John had just fought to battle and won against the giant, brain cancer!  Many asked today about John... A beautiful day basking in the LIGHT of Christ - Lumen Christi! Making new friends and family. The parting blessing by Archbishop. Yes, there are ice cream trucks that come around the neighborhoods... A little boy gave Bernadette one and she nicely shared with Gus.  It is very wonderful to see all the young families that have become families of The Lamb.  Nancy and Bill are very blessed to have this welcoming family in their new home, and I am thrilled to have a really good excuse to visit more often.  I will be here again in May for the new baby for sure, and, of course, I would love to think that Hallel could come again for Easter.  As many said - "A mother can always hope."  Bless-bless, Barb Fun doing a new painting today!
