Joy filled morning... "it's done!"/Blessed Virgin Mary Saturday/Tomato juice/hear and observe!

6 month old Joy is sitting up now on her own and hangs out in the sink while we had a quick canning project of some frost bit tomatoes into juice.  My girls would love the canning ring jewelry and Joy thought they were fun playtoys too... Mom's beautiful roses from her dad were the perfect backdrop with the wooden bull that sits on the windowsill.
This girl can pour on the smiles megawatt!  We all say that she is aptly named... she especially lights up when she sees her "Pretty mommy" close by...
And her name atop this gorgeous Christmas stocking which mom just finished... so precious and so much work!  Ruth started it when Joy was in the womb, and she will have hers next to the others for Christmas this year.  I just love the Holy Family, but that calf and the kitties are so Ruth!

My heart is full of so much happiness that our young and growing family are now at home on the farm.  It is all according to His Plan of that I am totally and hugely relieved and at peace to be away from all that work and busyness.  Now I just pray for the safety of the grandkids!  Guardian angels watch out for them.
Joy is filled with Joy and Awe at the special keepsake that reflects mom's love for her and for LIFE!
Happy to have time doing a family project in Ruth's wonderful canning kitchen on the farm.  Just like me having John just a year after we moved to this farm... now Ruth has followed our similar patterns and they have welcomed Joy into her home on the farm a year after they moved here.  Ruth has the life I had with my kids (she being the oldest of my 5 here with me, and 7 in heaven) and we share life patterns also... we had our first 5 in 9 years, and we each had a baby a year after we moved to this farm!  The Divine Plan is almost humorous at times!
Close family time... Joy in the old dishpan, Simon putting through the tomatoes and Ruth canning the juice.

Well, we are behind today due to a morning or canning, and my rosary is calling out to me as a light rain comes down to keep the farmers out of the field.  My house is quiet after Pat's brother and wife spent the night and are gone for a family gathering, and John is working at the YMCA.  Saturday's being devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary... I am so blessed to have her with me each day of my journey!  I am lifted up!
Family time supreme!  Canning days with the kids were some of my favorite!  Joy has gotten her share in already in her fist half year of life!
Indian Costume for Rose this year... Halloween is just around the corner!  Her mom does it all!

The words of the Gospel today to his followers...Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and observe it.  Luke 11:28  This is why starting the night before I devour the Word for each day!  It leads me down the narrow path following after my Jesus and I carry/drag my Most Cherished Cross observing all that The Holy Spirit shows to me!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Pat is telling them that this will be shown all over the internet now... I don't consider my blog quite that!  I did want to record our miraculous lunch together as Pat was here to spend some nice time with his brother, Mel, and wife, Amy, and I finished canning in time to get a nice lunch together and share a window of time together.  They have no idea how unbelievable this truly is around here!  Talk about Divine Providence!  Bless-bless, Barb
Canning days are special times indeed!  It's not just the girls, but David was off helping grandpa and dad moving cows in the pastures.

My hero of Family and LIFE!
Casting Crowns - Glorious Day

A memory from 5 years ago today!  Patrick was just 5 days old and in NICU in downtown El Paso!
"Joseph arrived home to the loving arms of his family at 1p! The doorbell rang and the kids opened it to find daddy there!!! They were overjoyed and now after a "Sunday dinner," time for stories of his time away, and guitar with dancing... Maria and Joe are off to be with Patrick! Our prayers are flowing all around them! Jesus, we know that you are in control in the midst of the storm! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless — with Maria Theresa and Joe ."  What I wrote 5 years ago!  So powerful!!!
