Between the big job and no internet I was prevented from sharing on here yesterday, and all day long the echoes of John's morning offering to Our Lady as he lavished LOVE on her as we realized that this was the month devoted to her! "Her Truth and Love are all around us each day!" prayed her John, healed of cancer and burning to bring all to Christ through his Mother!

Here is my attempt at sharing here the promo video that John has put money and time into to share his burning desire to speak about how Christ loves us and cares for us in the midst of the storms of life! It will open up his ministry and change lives! I am sure of it!

One of the pictures they used in the video of John being anointed by Fr Craig before his brain biopsy. So powerful!!!
6 month old Joy got an apple slice to chew on while we made our applesauce for 6 families. It will be a sparse year with a small portion of what we usually get.
Out to pick the few apples we have to add to our sauce. No teeth yet, so Joy needs it to be made into wonderful applesauce!
How exciting to share morning prayer with John this morning and celebrating the Feast of wonderful St Francis of Assisi! John and I have shared the office/prayer of The Church many mornings through the summer, and the High Praise of Daniel 3 we have shared together numerous times, too. Today sharing it and recalling how St Francis loved all of creation..."He understood in true humility what glory lies in being a creature of so great a God. From that perspective there is no greater joy than to give praise and thanks."
Luke and Joy gave grandma the perfect picture of sharing family time making food for the family!
Luke helped mom pick the apples and brought in a load in the "flatbed" of his dumptruck and dumped them into the sink for grandma to make into sauce!
Joy shows her love and approval and so fresh, too! Just growing on the trees an hour before. This is why we joyfully do the work... so see the smiles and watch them grow healthy and strong nourished by our good food and of course LOVE!
Ruth and I always manage to fill our big container to the top... it holds 40 quarts...
42 quarts... Maria and family love it so much that it is usually a dessert for them. Little Sisters also said that they love our tomato soup and applesauce on cold winter days. That is why we do the work!
Jesus in the Gospel today asks us to leave all and follow him...Luke 9. St Francis speaks about "following Jesus" in this poem/prayer from the meditation of the day;
Observe God's humility,
offer him your whole heart!
Be humble yourselves,
to be exalted with him!
Keep nothing back for yourselves,
so that he who has given himself to you
cam make you altogether his...
She was full of smiles yesterday and grandma took so many...
So filled with excitement to see John's great promo video and seeing how he has been transformed and brought to deep burning Faith through his brain cancer journey! John is yearning to "offer his whole heart", and put his life in the hands of Jesus to be used to bring others to Christ! How I pray for him to be used and that he will "Keep nothing back for himself." I also yearn to do this in my own life - dying to self so that Jesus can live and work and touch others with The Truth through me!
42 quarts... I brought some home as my husband loves his applesauce with most everything!
I think she is happy about applesauce!
Jesus, there is so much we can praise you for with each breath that we take and every beat of our hearts! May we give you the highest praise - Hallelujah! May we never hold any part of our lives back from you but lay it all at your feet in the confessional and find healing and freedom to give our all! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Canticle of the Sun by St Francis of Assisi
"Most High, all powerful, good Lord,
Yours are the praises, the glory, the honor,
and all blessing.
To You alone, Most High, do they belong,
and no man is worthy to mention Your name.
Be praised, my Lord, through all your creatures,
especially through my lord Brother Sun,
who brings the day; and you give light through him.
And he is beautiful and radiant in all his splendor!
Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Moon
and the stars, in heaven you formed them
clear and precious and beautiful.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Brother Wind,
and through the air, cloudy and serene,
and every kind of weather through which
You give sustenance to Your creatures.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Water,
which is very useful and humble and precious and chaste.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Brother Fire,
through whom you light the night and he is beautiful
and playful and robust and strong.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Mother Earth,
who sustains us and governs us and who produces
varied fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
Praised be You, my Lord,
through those who give pardon for Your love,
and bear infirmity and tribulation.
Blessed are those who endure in peace
for by You, Most High, they shall be crowned.
Praised be You, my Lord,
through our Sister Bodily Death,
from whom no living man can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin.
Blessed are those whom death will
find in Your most holy will,
for the second death shall do them no harm.
Praise and bless my Lord,
and give Him thanks
and serve Him with great humility."

From Saint Francis of Assisi...
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;...
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
Saint Francis, pray for us.

So, don't be afraid to ask for those secret hidden needs. God is there, waiting, hoping to talk to you.
