St Paul to the Romans! So excited/reminded of how he came to know Christ!

John with girlfriend, Bobbie, made dirt sundaes for Sunday dinner dessert!  I had to share this as I used my mother-in-law's dessert cup I had recently gotten from her.  I don't think there had ever been a dirt sundae complete with worm in this 100 year old container... the things we eat and call food these days!
Due to the rain... Pat had a mostly peaceful Sunday and has been wanting to eat out on our porch, so breakfast and lunch were on the porch... Sun on our backs at breakfast time after mass, but the wind and no sun made for jacket weather by Sunday Dinner time.  As Bobbie pointed out ..."You don't need to blow on the food to cool it off, the wind does that just fine."  Life is always an unexpected adventure with my wonderful most Cherished Cross around to stir things up!
A little chilly but warm smiles all around at our fall dinner on the porch!

I am so excited to find the first part of Romans for the first reading at mass this morning!  I snuck a look ahead and discovered that we will go forward from here.  Pondering my great love for St Paul brought me to marvel at how he was personally picked by Jesus, who appeared to him on the road to turn in the Christians and maybe send them to their death!  In that flash of light which blinded him he recognized the Truth and was immediately changed and became such powerful beacon for Christ!  My story is different yet I too have seen that blinding LIGHT and it has revealed the True Church to me and I love, love, Love it with no reservations!

The food was hot...  Bean fields around us combined and we will hopefully start ours today!  Our husbands are ready to go!!!!

Paul, a Slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an Apostle and set apart for the Gospel of God... begins Romans today!  The more I delve into the Word each day and the Holy Spirit speaks to me and reminds me over and over of all the ways My Lord has touched my life and how the Gospel comes to live for me... these words of St Paul really speak of for me also in a much more poor and humble way.  My volumes of writing here will never amount to a hill of beans compared to the inspirer Scriptures of St Paul... yet, I will still shout it from the rooftops without end!  The dam has been broken and it pours forth daily here!  I love my Jesus and His Bride, The Church!  I am beyond blessed each day with more than I can ever begin to share here through Word, Sacrament, Mary the Mother of God, the Saints and the Angels and on and on and on!
Cooks in the kitchen playing with dirt?

Through him we have received grace of apostleship, to bring about the obedience of Faith, for the sake of his name, among are you also, who are called to belong to Jesus Christ... called to be holy.
I am standing with St Paul in being called to Apostleship!  It is commonly shared that we are all called to be the Saint that is just me!  That is truly being His Apostle in our domestic Church/family and sharing our Faith with JOY!

When Bobbie came in the door for Sunday dinner yesterday, and we had all shared Mass with the glorious readings about the wedding Banquet with the rich food and choice wines... we joyfully embraced and with a huge beaming smile on her face we shared...."Those were such wonderful readings at mass today!  Yes!!!"
It is kind of miraculous to have Pat around here for meals, so I had to record it as proof... the flowers are over a week old and were given me by him for my birthday!  I love you, Pat!

Jesus, I long to be your slave and to do all your bidding/sharing the Word of Truth with every beat of my heart and with every breath that I take.  My life is yours and I long to die to self and become your hands and feet.  More than that... to go forward with great JOY to love and serve you without counting the cost!  For you are God!!!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
This is pure JOY!  She lives up to her name!

Feast day today... Pat's father's name, Pat's middle name, and Pat's mother prayed to him during her pregnancy for Pat, and she reminded me to invoke him during my difficulties of my childbearing years!
