"Let the children come to me"... Mass as a family from day one!

Newborn Evangeline Mary less than a week old and barely out of NICU in St Louis due to some concerns about her breathing, in the first week of November 2016.  She was soon to be the healthiest baby in NICU and we got her home in time for her Baptism day!

Carrying forth the tradition and heart held family standard...that we have always worshiped as a family from when the kids were in their first week of life!  Yes, we would have to walk out with unruly or crying kids and stand at the back or nurse them on the steps going to the balcony, but we never kept the little ones from coming to Jesus!
Maria's 5 including year and a half Evangeline ready to wrestle their dad!  They will be coming this way in a few days and we are so excited for our family gathering around John and Bobbi celebrating their wedding with great JOY!

Maria's words:
"a classic rumble in the library.
The kids are getting pretty good. Dad actually gets tapped out once in awhile!"

Grandma can't wait to get her hands on this girl's hair!  So much like her mom and aunts before her!

Not only did we attend church as a family always, but we would sit towards the front and continue to do that with Ruth and Paul and their 6.  Our thinking is not to intrude on worship of those around us, but for the little ones to be able to see and understand the beauty and power of the sharing the Sacrament of Jesus in His Body and Blood and Word!

The words of Christ to us this day in the Gospel:
"Let the children come to me; do not prevent them,
for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Amen, I say to you,
whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child
will not enter it."
Then he embraced the children and blessed them,
placing his hands on them.  Mark 10:16
Rose Again... why?  Rose had heard her brothers and sisters names in church... Simon, Mary, David, Luke, and Joy... each hears their names in the readings and during the mass over the year often.  At the Easter Vigil about 3 years ago... 3 year old Rose was so excited to announce to her family that she heard her name at mass..."I heard my name!  Rose Again!"  Now whenever we repeat the creed at every mass we attend, Rose beams ear to ear and looks up at us.

Pat recently shared this with great JOY with his cousin, Rose!  She was tickled by this sweet story of a girl, who has attended mass with her family every week since she was a newborn and has a beautiful connection with Jesus and His Bride, The Church!
Rose loves her life on the farm and is a great helper!

The words of Christ today and his promise that if we bring our children unto him and don't hesitate to share our Faith with JOY!  He embraces them and blesses them with his plan for them, which is where they find true happiness and they feel and know his personal touch upon them!

I have always marveled at how the Lord has left his fingerprint on my life!  Over and over I have felt his touch and know that it was Jesus at work in my life and closing doors and opening windows and allowing my entire family of 13 to swim against the tide of all those leaving at Vatican 2 when we came into The Church and each day since has been a gift ever since!  I love, love, love The Church with my every fiber of my being!  And my greatest gift is sharing our Faith as a family united all 25, soon to be 26 of us in a week!
Pictures from Nancy sharing Pentecost with Hallel, The Community of the Lamb, and Archbishop Naumann!  I am over the moon with the strong voice for Truth that Archbishop is as the Bishop for LIFE!

From the article;
Naumann's election to the pro-life chair was the first time in 40 years the USCCB did not select a Cardinal to chair the position. Winning the vote by a majority of 96 to 82 (mysteriously, there were 34 absentees), Archbishop Naumann ascended to what is perhaps the most important position in the USCCB pertaining to pro-life causes.
For the past 50 years, American Catholic Bishops as a whole have shown trepidation in the face of denying stalwartly pro-abortion politicians the sacrament of Holy Communion in accordance with Canon Law. Naumann actually enforcing it shows he takes the evils of abortion seriously and will not cave to political correctness. Just last year, Naumann also ordered churches in his archdiocese to sever ties with the Girl Scouts over their relationship with Planned Parenthood
Come Holy Spirit with your Words of Truth and save your Church!  We are forever touched by your loving and forgiving hand as we go down the narrow path yearning to be forever with you in heaven with Jesus, Mary, the Saints and all those that have gone before us!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
A dessert procession with The Community!  Pat has a fake plan for the kids to do this with the dessert cupcakes at John and Bobbi's reception.  It would be wonderful way to include Hallel and our family of the Lamb with us, as we know they are with us in prayer and The Spirit even though they cannot join us physically!
Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
Towards the end of the day... our in the pasture with hubby and nice looking cows and calves.  Washed clean by the rains and loving the green grass!  They looked wonderful to our eyes!
Nice to spend some time together and see the fruits of the labors.... healthy happy animals enjoying a beautiful evening!  Nice cooling breezes and no bugs yet... the perfect time of year... today it will reach 95 again...

Another powerful article about how Archbishop Naumann is bravely proclaiming The Truth!

When “materialism reigns and brings utilitarianism,” society no longer acknowledges unalienable rights, he said. “The pursuit of pleasure becomes the highest goal...in the end, [pleasures] leave us more and more empty” and “suffering and death” become enemies.
It’s this mindset that causes people to view the severely disabled as more “vegetable” than people, he said, even though caring for them is “the noblest form of love.” This mindset also views babies in the womb as “too tiny to have rights but something very useful to destroy” in hopes of restoring youth “to those already born.”
Take the time to read the whole article... so good!

Unfortunately it looks like they passed for abortion in Ireland... so criminal and sad!

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.
