We are all so happy and excited for them finding each other and marrying 11 years after they graduated high school together, and what a long and winding road it has been since... asking the Lord to reveal his perfect plan, and always praying for their future spouse. Now JOY!
The words of St Paul in Acts today really ring with Truth and reminds us that we need to be patient... if we put Christ first in our lives and follow after him carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross, we will discover his plan according to his perfect timing, not ours!
I did not shrink from proclaiming to you the entire plan of God." Acts 20:27
We can find peace and patience if we put Christ first and do as he commands of us through The Church and words of Christ in The Word each day!
I have joined in on John's journey to this place of knowing the answers to his questions... battle against brain cancer, seminary, jobs after jobs, and now still questions about jobs, but trusting that all will be in His hands and control. As we are given the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our daily lives if we put Jesus first and all will work out. We know that Jesus is in control!!! Jesus, we trust in you.

Going to Maria's blog I was pleased to find some new pictures to share... we are thrilled that they will be here in a couple weeks! Grandpa keeps talking about Therese and her baby sister, Evangeline! The three brothers in between come up often too! He has big plans for them for the week they will be spending on the farm with us!
Yes, Therese is counting down the days until they start driving to us! She shared with me how excited she is to go to her Godmother's wedding in August in France, and then to go on to Rome to see all the places they studied about in their ancient Rome homeschool class this past year!
"I hope we get to see the Coliseum, catacombs and St Peter's church!!!!" Her brother, David, will be coming too, but the younger 3 get to spend the time with their grandparents in Wisconsin. There will be total of 18 of Hallel's family there for her big day! Her wedding to her Spouse, Jesus, on the feast of the Assumption on August 15th in France!

These HRS 6th graders boarded the bus this morning to attend Camp Foley for a week! At this overnight camp, the students will develop skills, relationships, and learn a lot about responsilility and respect. We pray that they have a great, safe week!
Camp Foley is huge in our family at Holy Redeemer... now to the 3rd generation!
St Isidore today, who was a farmer and Pat has great uncles named Isidore! It has been never a dull moment as a city girl come to the farm! St Isidore pray for us and help all the farmers to stay safe and sane!
Jesus, with St Isidore with the farmers at heart. We thank you for the privilege of feeding the world, and the wonderful life we can share and live together. May we always put our faith first and all will fall into place as you are in control. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah

Saint Isidore the Farmer, also known as St. Isidore the Laborer, was born in Madrid, Spain to a farming family. He married Maria de la Cabeza who was also declared a saint. Deeply religious, St. Isidore attended Mass daily, though never neglecting his labor. Many times his guardian angel would take up the plow while he lingered in prayer. He loved the poor and animals, miraculously multiplying food for both.

Dymphna, the only daughter to a pagan king, took after her mother in faith and beauty, taking a vow of chastity at a young age. After the death of his wife, Dymphna’s father sought to marry his daughter, causing her to flee. After finding her and her continued refusals, Dymphna’s father cut off her head making her a martyr at the age of fifteen.
