So many emotions this mother's Day 2018! My mother holding her 50th great-grandchild yesterday at a shower put on for John's fiancé by my family! There were 30 attending including the newest 6 day old, Phoebe! Life is a gift no matter how small! Last week someone very close to me had a miscarriage and the week before a friend lost her only son at 23. Speaking to her through our tears at this sudden devastation in her life... finding it hard to put one foot in front of another and dreading this mother's day with only emptiness and sadness has colored the usual joy that fills me on this day. Adding to this, I am sure, is a stomach illness that I dealt with through the night and into this day.

Happy Mothers Day
A very Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers and to Mary, Mother of God and our Mother.
I found the Mother's Day wishes around "the best Mother of all, Mary, Queen of heaven and earth to be good and helpful for my mindset today!
What JOY to see my niece, Audrey, and her precious year and a half little girl, Amelia!! She looks so much like her mom did, and is very close to the age Audrey was when my sister Mary died from lymphoma 32 years ago.
Audrey is glowing and happy and now has 5 siblings and Amelia is has close to 20 cousins! Such a journey which we could not have expected when Mary came down to help me during my second pregnancy and fell in love with the farm, then found her dairy famer, Gerry, and they had Audrey and almost 2 years of marriage til cancer took her way too young!

Such a lesson of how The Cross can lead to LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
A perfect mother's Day picture... Bobbi with her mom, Lila, and Lila's mother, Arnolda. We are certainly getting to know their wonderful family. Actually Bobbi's family has been tied to ours for over 30 years with her two older brothers the same age and Nancy and Maria.
John and Bobbi invited Pat and I over to give me a Mother's Day breakfast! Thank you! I feel very loved and appreciated and John and I both agree that there is a mother better than me. It feels special that she is looking over our shoulders and we love her so very much! She looks after us each day of our journey and helped John to find faith through brain cancer!
Rose and Luke give their mom a rose... thanks, mom, for being a wonderful mom and saying "yes" to life. With Rose being number 4 and Luke #5... in most families they would not be here to share in the love and joy of a large happy farm family! Such a beautiful testimony to LIFE and the true call to motherhood!
The 12 in heaven... my 7 children and 5 grandchildren - with my Mother of heaven and earth that keep my eyes focused on getting to heaven to be united with them including my sister, my mother in law, now.
Joy holding my rose with her grandpa! She had such a peaceful contented look on her face and you see Pat's smile! He loves his little ones! My champion for LIFE and family!

Life is such a precious gift!!!
"They do not belong to the world
any more than I belong to the world.
Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth.
As you sent me into the world,
so I sent them into the world.
And I consecrate myself for them,
so that they also may be consecrated in truth.” John 17 - the Gospel today reminds us that we are called to The Truth by The Church and Jesus and Mary at work in our day to day lives! We are asked to not pick and choose but accept all The Truth and I do see that for some there is sadness with loss after loss. Also the loss of those we love and have seen to adulthood. Yet, I was reminded so beautifully by a young friend, Christina, who had a 3 month miscarriage and is now pregnant again... she so beautifully said that she did not want to waste her precious time with her LIFE within her by worrying, but rather cherish every moment of that LIFE within her and hoping for years to come and for that child to outlive her parents... yet, how powerful is that to cherish that LIFE no matter how small!

Proverbs 31:28
Her children rise up and call her blessed..
With all the emotions I am going through today knowing of the extreme sadness of some, who have lost or have empty arms... this gives me great comfort!
"A partnership with God is motherhood.
What beauty, what love, what self control
must belong to her who helps God
fashion an immortal soul!" (Author Unknown)
A quilt from her mom... she has a great one, and I am excited to have her more in my life!
Jesus, I am so aware this day of the power of LIFE and how it permeates all that we do with each new day. We are so aware of your Spirit at work in our lives, and are filled with love and care for all those in our domestic Church/family. Our heart is here at work in prayer, and we also keep our hearts on heaven and being united with our loved ones! We pray for them to be in your presence and know of their prayers to help us be consecrated to The Truth which will set us free no matter the pain and the loss! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
