John is such a thoughtful gift giver! All 12 of my children... Ruth, Christopher, Nancy, Maria, Susan/Hallel, Thomas, Joseph, Paul, William, Robert and Mary, along with Jesus and Our Lady, Pat and I... the beginning of our Domestic Church/family half here with us and now numbering 25 going on 26 when Bobbi becomes a Verly girl in just about 3 weeks... half in heaven keeping our eyes and hearts focused on getting there to meet them!
How I prayed that my girls would not have to suffer the losses that I had, but it seems the Lord's plan if for them to feel that same pain of loss and need those prayers from heaven and the desire to be with them someday keeping their focus on getting there. Striving to be the saints we are all called to become!

Half an hour after returning home from my parents... supper out on our beautiful table with the leaves popping out and the green grass. The first day of planting and now today it is halted by much needed rain. Pat and I prayed for getting the crop in, but also thanksgiving for the rain! It is a balancing act and mother Nature is in control...we have nothing to do with what comes from the sky.
A wonderful family meal while I was away... many more to come. This time of year is the best with no bugs!
The first reading from mass today is so delightful... I read it last night before bed and to both Pat and John this morning and how it speaks of sharing Faith as a family! Just back from spending 5 days with my parents and tearing up this morning as mom expressed how much she loves The Church and how wonderful it is for us to share. "I just love The Church so much and it is so wonderful in every way!" She shared that having mass and confession this morning was such an amazing blessing for her... yes, it is so true!
The wonderful dishes her mom got me to match my special coral chairs! Joy is getting new teeth grandpa told me..."She's such a sweetie!"
The jailer in the prison is about to take his life after the earthquake that would allow all to escape...They don't and he is so filled with awe and gratitude that he asks how he can be saved... not only for himself but for his entire household!
"Believe in the Lord Jesus
and you and your household will be saved."
So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house.
He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds;
then he and all his family were baptized at once.
He brought them up into his house and provided a meal
and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God." Acts 16
Experiencing the JOY of sharing Faith as a family.. this story is so special to me and so personal as I can know how they rejoiced together! We too have the Word of the Lord spoken to us in the readings each day! How we are shown Christ and his LOVE for us in The Word/Jesus and in the Eucharist/Jesus Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! My mother was rejoicing this morning after she had received Jesus in both and Jesus had taken all her burdens in the Confessional!
Enjoying a beautiful day out on the porch... a sweet plant from a dear friend, and my mother. Mother's day in a few days and I had some powerful days with mom and dad! I am so blessed to have that gift of time with the two of them, and for them to still both be in my life!
Love this memory from 5 years ago... the rubber boots are a must on the farm! Today it rained and overnight so the farmers got to get some much needed rest. It was nice to be here with my hubby around longer. The tractors are parked today, too!
Jesus, how we love you and so many graces pour down upon us thanks to the wisdom and beauty of your glorious Church! We rejoice in our domestic church/family as we share our faith in you and your Bride, The Church. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Rose when she was one - 5 years ago! I will be getting new furniture for my porch, too! Exciting times with all the occasions coming up with Family on the farm!
Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke and family!
Rose and kitty... 5 years ago
Sister Joy with a kitty last week at the same age... 13 months!

We have an advocate in heaven... so true and love this so much!
