Home again for a few hours/family sweet corn day/the two shall become one!

George and Jude on the move rolling and creeping around together while the family gathered to freeze 11 pails of sweet corn!  I missed the big day!

I have only a very short window to share here today after having some well needed time with my husband - getting 1/2 inch of rain overnight sure helped us have some time to reconnect.  We shared morning prayer and I thanked the Lord for the gift of the sharing of Love between a husband and wife - pure JOY to share and wipe away a lot of the hard things in married Life!

Love this one of the two boys!  George is now 6 months and Jude is 4 1/2 months!  Hector comes in the middle of them at 5 months!

Pat kind of smirked when I thanked the Lord for physical love in my prayer, and then we read the Gospel together and Jesus backed me up!
He said in reply, "Have you not read that from the beginning
the Creator made them male and female and said,
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore, what God has joined together, man must not separate."

My brother, Dan, is now there helping with meals and cares and keeping them safe.

 It was a hard day for my mother, and I almost decided to stay.  I prayed so hard at mass of the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary, and when I returned and gave mom and dad Eucharist - mom was ready for bed and eating sweet corn, so it seemed that she had recovered some.  Many prayers for them!

 My trip home in the dark included about an hour of rain!  At one point is was a downpour and then it finally ended with this glorious view of the full moon behind the thunderhead!  Wow!

Hector was 5 months on the 13th and has been cutting teeth ahead of the other two.  Drool monster is how his mom describes him!

I hope that I didn't shock others, but I truly do feel that what gives marriage the joy and holds it together through the thick and the thin is sharing physical love.  And Jesus is speaking about that union here as also we are united in Christ.  We need to place him first and foremost in our lives and our marriages!

Hector has the right idea and he will go forward into his life placing Jesus and His Bride, The Church first in his life!

In these times of salvation, Christ received body and soul from Mary.  He came to save this soul, not to leave it in hell.  He united it with his spirit and made it his own.  And this is the marriage of the Lord, the union of two in one flesh, so that according to that great mystery, two become one flesh, Christ and his Church...  From this marriage the Christian people are born, by the descent of the Spirit of the Lord.  The essential nature of the soul, engendered by heavenly seed, grows in the womb of our mother, the Church, and at birth is given life by Christ.

Wow!  That is something to ponder and so deep!

Christ and His Church is the most important part of our marriage, family and LIFE!

Jesus, how we love you with our all!   We ask that you be foremost in marriages and that we are eternally grateful for the union of LOVE which unites us in love. Jesus, may we die to self so that you may live in us.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
