Those glowing faces and smiles are the result of looking into the face of our Lord and Lady after sharing the mass of The Queenship of Mary in the Trinity Cathedral in Saint Pierre, France on August 22, 2009!
The Queenship of Mary has become so glorious and amazing for us over the last 10 years!!! John and I flew to France after his second chemo for his brain cancer and he got better!!!
We had returned out tickets to go for Susan's taking of her habit and changing her name in France as we faced John's battle against brain cancer, but... The Lord had another amazing plan for us to last minute realize we could fly to France and be there with Nancy and Fr Craig for her transformation into Little Sister Hallel!

Dad's little dude! John has been doing Jude's day care and will start classes next week for Radiology technitian! So many prayers about the Lord guiding John in his future as a provider for his wife and family! Lord, hear our plea and prayers!
The trio praying the morning prayer this morning! How my heart rejoices to share the Queenship of Mary with both my parents as they are the reason that we share our Faith in Jesus and His Bride, The Church!

Dad shared that mom asked dad to pray together this morning. Such an improvement from last week when she sat with her eyes closed and not wanting to pray with us! How we pray that my mother may find some happiness in her life. Prayers and now antidepression meds are hopefully going to help.
Their well worn prayer books from the last 48 years of our being Catholic and the 45 years of my dad being a permanent deacon in The Church... I do the office on my phone and had some prayers for the Queenship that they did not have...
The petitions that I shared with my parents today:
Let us glorify our Savior, who chose the Virgin Mary for his mother. Let us ask him:
May your mother intercede for us, Lord.
Sun of Justice, the immaculate Virgin was the white dawn announcing your rising,
– grant that we may always live in the light of your coming.
May your mother intercede for us, Lord.
Eternal Word, you chose Mary as the uncorrupted ark of your dwelling place,
– free us from the corruption of sin.
May your mother intercede for us, Lord.
Savior of Mankind, your mother stood at the foot of your cross,
– grant, through her intercession, that we may rejoice to share in your passion.
May your mother intercede for us, Lord.
With ultimate generosity and love, you gave Mary as a mother to your beloved disciple,
– help us to live as worthy sons of so noble a mother.
May your mother intercede for us, Lord.
So powerful and amazing indeed!
After the office we pray for the family - mom with her eyes closed in prayer and her prayer book opened under the picture of the 3 girls - I am the oldest of 11 and the 3 oldest were 3 girls, and this is an important reminder of her family to mother!
The closing prayer from my ibreviary this morning for the Queenship of Mary;
Father,
you have given us the mother of your Son
to be our queen and mother.
With the support of her prayers
may we come to share the glory of your children
in the kingdom of heaven.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
– Amen.
Mother in their bedroom before we went to the doctor yesterday... bed made and the crucifix on the wall over their bed.
Mom talking to my sister, who was there cleaning. Today we discussed at breakfast how we need to be here for them at this point. Mom enjoys us being here, but feels "bad" about our having to "babysit." I tried to reassure her that I cherish my time with both my parents and helping them when they need our help is important and I do it willingly!
Prayers for the family shared.
The Gospel today of the King, who prepared the wedding feast for his Son and invited us to attend! May we go forth into the Feast with great JOY! We have our Queen there to cloth us in the "wedding garments for the King and for her Son! Yes, we need only ask for her intercession for us that we may share in the JOY of LIFE eternal in heaven forever with Jesus, Mary the Queen, All the Angels and Saints!
Dad with his worn prayer book and prayers for our litany of our family from his heart shared with mother and I! Such an amazing gift indeed!
A beautiful rose from mom's garden this morning with her prayer book. It was such a good sign that she is praying the prayer of The Church with dad once again. We take it one day at a time around here!
Deserves another look at a sign of hope and beauty we are given with each new day as we are so overwhelmed by the Truth and LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT through our shared Faith!
Jesus, with your Queen Mother of heaven and earth always lifting up our needs and concerns to you! May we come rejoicing into your presence at the Feast arrayed in our wedding garments of dying to self and allowing the glory of your Holy Spirit to fill us and use us to your honor and glory! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
I cannot get enough of this!!! So much LOVE is in this joyful wonderful picture! Thank you, Lord! Bless-bless, Barb and my domestic church/family!

"Every time the Son of God comes again to us in the “poverty”
of the sacramental signs of bread and wine, the seeds of that new history wherein the mighty are “put down from their thrones” and “those of low degree are exalted” (cf. Lk 1:52), take root in the world. Mary sings of the “new heavens” and the “new earth” which find in the Eucharist their anticipation and in some sense their programme and plan. The Magnificat expresses Mary's spirituality, and there is nothing greater than this spirituality for helping us to experience the mystery of the Eucharist.
The Eucharist has been given to us so that our life, like that of Mary, may become completely a Magnificat!
Ecclesia de Eucharistia (58)
“Mary, then, is a Queen; but for our common consolation,
be it known that she is a Queen so sweet, clement,
and so ready to help us that Holy Church wills
that we salute her as Queen of Mercy.
Mary is Queen of Mercy as Jesus is King of Justice.”
St. Alphonsus de Liguori - Glories of Mary

The Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary
O Mary Immaculate Queen, look down upon this distressed and suffering world. You know our misery and our weakness. O thou who art our Mother, saving us in the hour of peril, have compassion on us in these days of great and heavy trial.
O Mary Immaculate Queen, glorious Queen of the Universe, most powerful Virgin, merciful Mother of a merciful God and refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to thy Royal and Immaculate Heart.
From a homily by Saint Amadeus of Lausanne, bishop
(Hom. 7: SC 72, 188, 190, 192, 200)
Queen of the world and of peace
Observe how fitting it was that even before her assumption the name of Mary shone forth wondrously throughout the world. Her fame spread everywhere even before she was raised above the heavens in her magnificence. Because of the honor due her Son, it was indeed fitting for the Virgin Mother to have first ruled upon earth and then be raised up to heaven in glory. It was fitting that her fame be spread in this world below, so that she might enter the heights of heaven on overwhelming blessedness. Just as she was borne from virtue to virtue by the Spirit of the Lord, she was transported from earthly renown to heavenly brightness.
So it was that she began to taste the fruits of her future reign while still in the flesh. At one moment she withdrew to God in ecstasy; at the next she would bend down to her neighbors with indescribable love. In heaven angels served her, while here on earth she was venerated by the service of men. Gabriel and the angels waited upon her in heaven. The virgin John, rejoicing that the Virgin Mother was entrusted to him at the cross, cared for her with the other apostles here below. The angels rejoiced to see their queen; the apostles rejoiced to see their lady, and both obeyed her with loving devotion.
Dwelling in the loftiest citadel of virtue, like a sea of divine grace or an unfathomable source of love that has everywhere overflowed its banks, she poured forth her bountiful waters on trusting and thirsting souls. Able to preserve both flesh and spirit from death she bestowed health-giving salve on bodies and souls. Has anyone ever come away from her troubled or saddened or ignorant of the heavenly mysteries? Who has not returned to everyday life gladdened and joyful because his request had been granted by the Mother of God?
She is a bride, so gentle and affectionate, and the mother of the only true bridegroom. In her abundant goodness she has channeled the spring of reason’s garden, the well of living and life-giving waters that pour forth in a rushing stream from divine Lebanon and flow down from Mount Zion until they surround the shores of every far-flung nation. With divine assistance she has redirected these waters and made them into streams of peace and pools of grace. Therefore, when the Virgin of virgins was led forth by God and her Son, the King of kings, amid the company of exulting angels and rejoicing archangels, with the heavens ringing with praise, the prophecy of the psalmist was fulfilled, in which he said to the Lord: At your right hand stands the queen, clothed in gold of Ophir.
From the office of readings today! Read it and weep for JOY!
