Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem;
praise your God, O Zion.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates;
he has blessed your children within you.
R. Praise the Lord, Jerusalem.
He has granted peace in your borders;
with the best of wheat he fills you.
He sends forth his command to the earth;
swiftly runs his word!
R. Praise the Lord, Jerusalem.
Sharing Christ in his Body, Blood and Word! Therese and David now receive Him and Patrick is a year away from his First Communion. Fr Adam is showering them with special blessing saying mass in their home!
He and Joseph had backpacked across the Olympics together... a truly bonding experience indeed!
The words of Joseph...
That day, we headed to Deception Creek. Below is a shot of Father saying Mass there (which we did daily - along with all the hours in the Liturgy of the Hours).
Wow! A physical fitness and spiritual retreat indeed for them!
The next day, we summitted Gray Wolf Pass. It was a gorgeous view - and the wind died down at a perfect time to say Mass.
A mountaintop experience of receiving Jesus in Word and Body and Blood! Thank you, Joseph, for sharing this with us. It has filled us with a true reminder that we are fed with the best of wheat! We are filled to overflowing as we sense the prayer and Truth which filled you as you walked and climbed and dealt with nature day after day!
Reaching the end of their journey... the words of my amazing son-in-law, Joseph...
The thing about being in the wilderness is that there is no safety net. There are no 911 dispatchers or hospitals. There is no one to save you if you are sick or hurt or in serious danger. You are on your own.
The wilderness is unpredictable - and provides a unique adventure.
But I wouldn't have it any other way. You see, adventure refashions the soul. It requires one to come out of themselves - out of routine - out of complacency - out of comfort - out of the things that we so often run to to distract ourselves from Truth. Its unpredictable nature wakes us up from our comfortable selves.
Give me an early morning, the wind at my back, and the hallows of high adventure.

Wow! A 6 day trek with Jesus as a very definite companion. He is with us always on our journeys of life, but how Real was this?!?
Imagine mass every day in such amazing nature, and the liturgy of the hours along the way each day filling them with the awareness of The Churh at prayer throughout the world... such POWER!!!
Little Dave with his leggo Church he fashioned for a contest at their church! The words of the Psalm today speaks about how the children are blessed within homes filled with faith! So true!
The altar with Jesus in Word and Body and Blood!
11 year old Therese with her church!

Patrick's church focuses on the altar!

He understands Jesus in His Church!

4 year old Romeo with his church!

St Michael guarding The Church!!! I am overjoyed to see their love and understanding of what makes The Church the Bride of Christ and our help down the narrow path to LIFE everlasting!
Simon and Mary in the ribbon auction yesterday showing Simon's pair... he did well! The Fair 2019 is now in the books, and it was a great year indeed! As Paul said they grew in self-confidence and expanded their horizons and boudaries.
Joy fell asleep in her seat at the auction... it was a long busy time at the fair and it was family time supreme! Our Sunday started with mass as a family and that is the best kind of family time!
Pat was Joy's comfortable place to get her nap in the middle of the ribbon auction.
A day today of catching up in house and garden! This evening I will be heading up to spend some days with my parents. My dad is currently at Vets getting some ideas of what lies ahead from his kidney doctors. Many prayers for him! I will be getting on the road this evening to spend some days with my parents as we know they need someone with them now around the clock. Two of my brothers have been there for the last 4 days. Thanks to them!
Jesus, so many thoughts and prayers for my dad are filling me. Hold him in the palm of your hand and show him the path you have laid out before him. Thank you for the best of wheat you give us for the journey ahead. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
My time with my parents is a gift to be cherished indeed! Bless-bless, Barb

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you, save souls, and take care of everything!
When I asked Maria one time how I should pray for so many that are misled or just have not come to our Lord... "Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you, save souls." is what she shared with me so when I complete the litany of our 2 families including over 200 people ... I pray this and now adding "and take care of everything." That covers it! Hear our prayer!
