Jesus came to light the world with the fire of God's love/Family celebrations and gatherings/Huge 3" rain!

Sharing birthday breakfast for his mommy after mass - 20th Sunday of Ordinary time.  Joy is happy to see her baby cousin, Jude.

While grandpa was up as a Eucharistic Minister, Joy in the front row was saying over and over, "My papa!"  She seems to be just fine with Pappa holding Jude instead of her!
We had a great time with Pat's family up in the Cities on Friday night. His oldest brother was here from Henderson, Nevada.
Some chocolate Yumminess to celebrate his two youngest sisters, who are each having birthdays this week.  Ida today and Mary in a few days.  They were known as the baby girls as they brought up the tail of the family of 10!  Ida is #10, and Mary is #9 almost exactly 2 years apart.

We are thrilled that Ida is just minutes away from Nancy and her family and is excited to be an extra grandparent to her 5 kids!!
Nancy is doing an end of the summer camping trip just a short distance from their home and Ida's... tenting for the first time!  It looks like a wonderful big tent and happy family times!
6 month old George in his camping play pen!  Such a sweetie pie!
How they love sand and time on the beach and the water!  Summer is just flying by and with school just a couple weeks ago, it seems that they need to cram them full of wonderful summer family time!
Camping nap time for the baby.  I would say that camping has now been added to the Bandzuch list of family things to do.
I had the solo job of putting up wonderful sweet corn yesterday.  I guess that I just couldn't miss doing corn after all!
So peaceful to have a birthday supper for Bobbi and family on our beautiful porch last evening!
Jude got some of grandpa's whisker kisses and seemed to like them...
At least for a little while...
Happy Birthday Bobbi at breakfast on the farm after mass shared!  A cool morning after the huge rain we got last night!  3"!!  Pat appreciated that there was no hail and how dry things were before.

How the Gospel rang with the LOVE we are given through Christ!
Jesus said to his disciples:
"I have come to set the earth on fire,
and how I wish it were already blazing! "Luke12

That fire is the LOVE of God which Jesus came to LIGHT the world with!
Kittens, little girl, lush green, and beautiful flowering bush.
The creek is out of it's banks after the huge rain overnight.
The cows and calves loving the cool morning after getting a really good shower overnight!
David with his horn as he is starting band at Catholic School.  This is such a beautiful spot on Ruth's porch with the green pastures!

Yes, we encounter God's LOVE in our walk with/following Jesus down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross!  It was described by St Paul today in the second reading...
Brothers and sisters:
Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us
and persevere in running the race that lies before us
while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus,
the leader and perfecter of faith.
For the sake of the joy that lay before him
he endured the cross, despising its shame,
and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God.
Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners,
in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart.
In your struggle against sin
you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood.
Hebrews 12:1-4

Yes, we run the race and as Father said it doesn't matter if we do it gracefully and well, but just so we willingly die to self and do it!  Jesus is there to set our hearts on fire as we strive to follow Him!
Grandpa, Jude and Joy are interested in the new shiny horn... grandpa blew in it and David pushed the keys... it sounded pretty good!
Jude is finding LIFE so interesting and full of new things to experience!

Joys turn to entertain with the recorder on a beautiful Sunday morning sharing family time after receiving Jesus in His Word, Body and Blood!

It is exciting to realize that over the next couple years we will have 4 first Communions and about every year after we will be celebrating this amazing gift/Sacrament with our many wonderful grandchildren all being raised in The Church as we share our Faith as a family!  How my heart sings for Joy!  As Paul says... "We cannot hold in JOY!"
A amazing masterpiece to my eyes and heart!
Joy, Jude and a kitten getting licked and held!
Pat is needing the computer to watch his Twins... so
I had to take many to get the cuteness...
Kitty looks resigned to the treatment of two little ones!
 The JOY smile!

Jesus, we cannot hold JOY in!  WE love with a fire that burns in our hearts as we strive to run the race no matter how poorly.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
When Jude licked the kitty mom and dad called an end to the experience of meeting a kitty with JOY!
Much needed rain - thank you, Lord!

"Take my advice,
and in every Mass ask God to make you a great saint.
Does this seem too much? It is not too much.
Is it not our good Master Who protests in the holy Gospel that,
for a cup of cool water given out of love of Him,
He will, in return, give paradise?

How, then, while offering to God
the blood of His most blessed Son,
should He not give you a hundred heavens,
were there so many?...

O blessed Mass!
Expand yet more and more your heart,
and ask great things of Him,
with the reflection that you ask of a God
Who does not grow poor by giving, and, therefore,
the more you petition for, the more you will obtain."

St Leonard of Port Maurice
