Cardinal on the feeder/mom, dad and I praying together /Fake plans with bounding lambs praising you!

So blessed with having my life with my nest years back again!  Joy and Jude playing and laughing with baby kitties on the chair.  Nothing is better than having a happy loving home!

Just finished doing morning prayer with my both my parents and in our litany of prayer for family there comes evidence of just how important it is to have a loving faith filled home!
These two love each other more and more as they spend time together.  It is super great for Joy to have baby Jude in her life.  Jude cannot keep his eyes off of Joy and he smiles and gleefully squeals with her attention and activity around him.
Jude losing a sock with his crazy jumping... Joy ready to shoot grandma with the nerf gun, and how they would laugh!
Grandma loves to get the perfect shot of this happy fun moment, and Joy had a hard time pulling the trigger so that she did not hit grandma hardly at all!
 #3 is the best!
I am over the moon filled with so much happiness to be here with my parents in their new home/assisted living!

Dad had a procedure yesterday at Vets, so he is limited in his activity for the next 4 weeks.  He had fake plans to bowl this morning, but we decided that he shouldn't chance getting bleeding.  Stopping to do a few pieces in the ongoing puzzle is his new routine after meals!  We found 4 quick pieces and it was fun to share!
Preparing to share morning prayer together!  It was so great to have mom reach for her prayer book today...
Sharing morning prayer from the office... all 3 of us!  The Saints and Angels were gathered around us as we shared the prayer of The Church which is prayed by all priests and deacons, monks and religious... think about the power of prayer all around the world!

The 3rd antiphon before Psalm 8 today echoed my sharing to my parents about sharing prayer with the family of my children when I am with them... Praying the rosary with Maria's family each day I am with them, praying with Nancy and Bill's each family at night gathered for the rosary, intentions, and litany of the Saints!
On the lips of children and infants you have found perfect praise.
Bernadette found her patron Saint, St Bernadette, in Pennsylvania for her grandmother Mimi's funeral last week!  How amazing to have such a gorgeous name through life and to share it with Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes!

Dominic also relates to his two Saints Dominic and Patrick.  And Josephine pronounces proudly her "JoJo Kita"....Josephine Bahkita!
A memory of Therese with Patrick a month after his stay in the NICU after a traumatic birth.  Patrick chubby and healthy after his healing through prayer and the Sacraments!  Grandma baptized him in NICU at an hour old!

Ruth brought up her special babes in toyland for Jude!  Joy showed Jude all the possible play things, and he watched with delight!
 The look of happy!

Another verse from the readings today make me smile after watching these two playing and jumping together...
"Out of the Red Sea an unimpeded road,
and a grassy plain out of the mighty flood.
Over this crossed the whole nation sheltered by your hand,
after they beheld stupendous wonders.
For they ranged about like horses,
and bounded about like lambs,
praising you, O Lord! their deliverer."
Wisdom 18

Seeing the JOY of seeing God at work in our lives!  Gives us JOY off the charts as we "bound about like lambs or calves!"
Jude getting helped with his jumping, swinging, and spinning... lots to giggles of delight!

I am very excited about some fake plans for tomorrow involving Nancy and Bill and the 8 kids that they have for the weekend... their 5 and 3 of Ruth and Paul's!  I will be bringing my parents to mass at Sacred Heart in Robbinsdale where Nancy and Bill were married on August 28, 2011.  Nancy and Bill will bring 2 vehicles with the 8 kids to meet us at mass and then we will go to Mac and Dons for some lunch and time with my parents!  Talk about bounding lambs and calves all around us... I predict that mom and dad will be worn out in quick order, but at least my grandkids can see their great grandparents for a small window... as this time is precious!
I was with the kids while Ruth, Paul, John and Pat assisted the vet in preg checking our 180 cows and heifers.  Thank fully it was a better day than earlier in the week with record breaking cold.
Joy out getting some fresh air!
 Mooing back at the cows...
Pat working the headgate part of the time..
A family job and this old grandma is happy to be able to be in the house with the little ones!
Breakfast with my parents after sleeping on the couch and then when dad got up super early... I crawled into the bed with mom.

The new normal now is working out well, and the bottom line is having time with both of my parents as they are using their canes now to struggle down the narrow path to heaven forever with Jesus, Mary, the Saints and Angels!  I sat at the feet of my father while he taught me his prayer time and his study and using Psalm 23 to pray for him and mom...
"He guides us along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
4 Even though we walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
We will fear no evil,
    for you are with us;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort us..."
How I love to see how he is united with mom unto death do they part!

He also mentions the good thief on the cross and how Christ brings him into the Kingdom that very day!
Luke 23:39-43

[39] One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"

[40] But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? [41] We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."

[42] Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

[43] Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in
Dad; "How I pray that the Lord will say those words to mother and I!"
After all their playing, jumping, spinning, shooting nerf guns and hunting for where they fly... grandma was happy for them falling asleep quickly and peacefully!
Joy has her two fingers and Jude finds his thumb in  a matter of minutes he is peacefully asleep in Ruth and Paul's big bed.
The kitten adds to the nap scenes... now on the other end of the spectrum both of my parents are currently sleeping in their chairs before lunch.
Joy and her favorite dolly, Baby Jude, worn out

"O God of love, my Savior,

eternally sweet and tender,

heart and soul I thirst for You!
You fill my soul; and yet
the more I taste of You, the more I hunger.

The deeper I drink of You, the more I thirst.

Come, Jesus!  Come, Lord!"

Jesus, how I love you and thank you for this precious gift of having my parents together and having good health at this point of going down the narrow path with Heaven in their sights!  Time with them is precious indeed!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

Mom's birds greeting guests to their new home in Rm 105!

While we were praying together we looked out to see, to our delight, a cardinal on the feeder!  Some of their family has made sure to bring their beloved bird feeder here and placed it outside of their window and keeping food in it!  Thanks to all the family that is making this a happy joyfilled home!  Bless-bless, Barb

A prayer for couples down the road of many years together!  My parent celebrated their 70th anniversary in August!  Tempered by the fires of God's love - yes in some ways and no in others, but that is what happens with 2 sinful humans coming together in marriage... one can hope and pray and die to self and try to put the other one first!  Hard to do, but what we are called to do!

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of eternal life,
Your Heart is a glowing furnace of Love. You are my refuge and my sanctuary.
O my adorable and loving Savior, consume my heart with the burning fire with which Yours is aflamed. Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Your love. Let my heart be united with Yours. Let my will be conformed
to Yours in all things. May Your Will be the rule of all my desires and actions.
Amen. ~ Saint Gertrude the Great

Holy Now - Peter Mayer
The cardinal reminds me of this song and my time here sharing faith with my parents... everything is holy now since they brought all 13 of us into The Church 48 years ago!  Every day is a gift of great price!

New Catholics at "the farm"... a far cry from what I know the farm to be now as 41 years a farmer's wife!  Who would have guessed that this city girl would be a farmer's wife!?!
