Evangeline Mary on her birthday with her dad as a backdrop...

Big sister Therese showing her mini me how to make applesauce recently with some wild apples Therese found and brought home. They made about 40 quarts of sauce with a lot of hard work! Therese amazes us all with her drive to be busy with projects and accomplish amazing things!

Like this!!! Maria's Bridesmaid dress returned to her by our nun, is now an adorable dress for her little sister's birthday! A difficult fabric to work with in the first place and to remake it from a grown woman to a little girl is a gift! The sewing machine and Therese are friends!
The 5 at Maria's wedding in 2007! They had a jacket over the top of the dress, and it looks like "T" used that over the bottom of her sister's dress.
LOVE to see my 5 together. When Nancy married a few years later Hallel was no longer allowed to come home for weddings in the family! A hard part of her beautiful LIFE with her Community of the Lamb. One thing about it is that when she gets to come home for her visit every 3-4 years we are all here on the farm with her with all the our strength... no matter how far we have to come! That time is precious indeed!
John and Bobbi visiting Hallel in KC about 2 weeks after their wedding. Another part of her not being able to come for our family occasions is that it gets us motivated to go her way and...
Share with her pictures and stories and include her in our life the old fashioned way... face to face and not using internet of facebook.
The first readings these days from Wisdom is stunning and powerful and beautiful... yesterday I was thinking that Our Lady is the embodiment of Wisdom...
"For in her there is a spirit that is intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle, mobile, clear, unpolluted, distinct, invulnerable, loving the good, keen, irresistible, 23beneficent, humane, steadfast, sure, free from anxiety, all-powerful, overseeing all, and penetrating through all spirits that are intelligent and pure and most subtle. 24For wisdom is more mobile than any motion; because of her pureness she pervades and penetrates all things. 25For she is a breath of the power of God, and a pure emanation of the glory of the Almighty; therefore nothing defiled gains entrance into her. 26For she is a reflection of eternal light, a spotless mirror of the working of God, and an image of his goodness. 27Though she is but one, she can do all things, and while remaining in herself, she renews all things; in every generation she passes into holy souls and makes them friends of God, and prophets;..." Wisdom 7
To have Our Spiritual Mother with us on this journey... helping our weak and sinful and selfish mess and taking it to her Son! I just saw a book on the Rosary by Mother Teresa of Caluctta- "loving Jesus with the heart of Mary". "You can't love Mary too much, because you can never love her more than Jesus does." St Maximilian Kolbe
Rose and Berna are now both 7! I might be taking Rose along to spend the post-birthday weekend with Berna on my way to my parents!
Suddenly my heartfelt wish to visit my parents is happening! My dad is in surgery this morning/having his stints replaced, so after helping with Preg-checking by watching Jude and Joy... I will be hitting the road for the Cities! So excited for my chapel on wheels and praying for my family. I went into the church with Pat early so have already prayed for Fr Todd and got in mass.. such a special gift to share Jesus first thing with hubby!
Maria home for a couple weeks this summer. First thing she took her new baby boy to meet Hallel in KC. When Hallel was in Europe for her first 9 years with The Community it could be a year or more before she would meet new nieces and nephews! How we love having her close by and more involved in our growing family life!
Today in Wisdom is also very powerful and beautiful! The beauty that surrounds us in our domestic Church, homes, The Catholic Church with all the statues, stain glass, votives, arches... Beauty reveals to us the Goodness and LOVE/LIGHT/LIFE that comes to us from "the original source of beauty"/God/Holy Spirit/Jesus - the Trinity! Our souls are lifted to Him in our time spent in Church in front of the tabernacle containing the LIFE giving Body of Jesus! He fashioned us to be His with our all! Holding nothing back!
"But either fire, or wind, or the swift air,
or the circuit of the stars, or the mighty water,
or the luminaries of heaven, the governors of the world, they considered gods.
Now if out of joy in their beauty they thought them gods,
let them know how far more excellent is the Lord than these;
for the original source of beauty fashioned them." Wisdom 13
The same Spirit that split the sea and fed the 5,000 fashioned you and I and also is in control of our lives as we embrace our Most Cherished Cross to find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!

Hallel did come to Nancy's home in KC shortly after the arrival of George! So wonderful to share that occasion with her, and now that they have moved to the Cities... not having that time each week is a really sad part of their leaving.A trip to KC after Jude was born to introduce him to Aunt Little Sister Hallel in May.
How we love to share our lives now with Hallel close by in KC - only 7 hours from door to door!
I am lucky to be tagging along on a lot of the times spent with our daughter and her Family of the Lamb!
Jesus and Mary we love you, save souls. Maria instructed me on this short prayer after I pray for our combined families equaling almost 240+ now. How I love to add the new ones in the womb for the first time! I smile with glee!!!! LIFE is the most beautiful part of the Lord's creation, and Jesus coming to us in the Eucharist - God with us - is also the most beautiful and important gift we have for the journey! Jesus, we love you and long to die to self so that we may be your hands and feet! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Hallel putting a bandaid on Josephine's foot... We are now able to spend time living right with The Community when we visit as we no longer have Nancy's home close by. It is very amazing to share so closely with prayer, mass, adoration, meals and dishes!
Some parts of the Cross are hard and painful, but that makes the good parts that much more glorious! Bless-bless, Barb

How did we lose sight of the beauty of LIFE? To think nothing except that the woman has a right to take that life and rip it from her body or poison it and expel it! I am so filled with sadness and confused that this has ever happened and it promoted and accepted! Lord, save the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted and is in danger of abortion!

"We must never forget that the Church is built around Christ and that,
as Saint Augustine, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Saint Albert the Great
have all said, following Saint Paul (cf. 1 Corinthians 10:17),
the Eucharist is the sacrament of the Church's unity, because
we all form one single body of which the Lord is the head."
Benedict XVI, 49th Intern’l Eucharistic Congress, Quebec City, 6/22/08
"I adore You, O Precious Blood of Jesus, flower of creation, fruit of virginity, ineffable instrument of the Holy Spirit, and I rejoice at the thought that You came from the drop of virginal blood on which eternal Love impressed its movement; You were assumed by the Word and deified in His person. I am overcome with emotion when I think of Your passing from the Blessed Virgin's heart into the heart of the Word, and, being vivified by the breath of the Divinity, becoming adorable because You became the Blood of God.
I adore You enclosed in the veins of Jesus, preserved in His humanity like the manna in the golden urn, the memorial of the eternal Redemption which He accomplished during the days of His earthly life. I adore You, Blood of the new, eternal Testament, flowing from the veins of Jesus in Gethsemane, from the flesh torn by scourges in the Praetorium, from His pierced hands and feet and from His opened side on Golgotha. I adore You in the Sacraments, in the Eucharist, where I know You are substantially present....
I place my trust in You, O adorable Blood, our Redemption, our regeneration. Fall, drop by drop, into the hearts that have wandered from You and soften their hardness.
O adorable Blood of Jesus, wash our stains, save us from the anger of the avenging angel. Irrigate the Church; make her fruitful with Apostles and miracle-workers, enrich her with souls that are holy, pure and radiant with divine beauty." - Meditations on the Precious Blood of Jesus from writings of St Albert
