I was overjoyed myself to realize that today is the feast of St Elizabeth of the Trinity! My dad pointed out to me some time back that she echoes what I share often here...LIGHT/LOVE/LIFE. To read her final words really brought that home for me, and made me smile really big! How I echo her in wanting to arrive at that place we find after we embrace our Most Cherished Cross and find the Kingdom filled with LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
"Love draws its object into itself;
we draw Jesus into ourselves; Jesus draws us into Himself.
Then carried above ourselves into love's interior,
seeking God, we go to meet Him to meet His Spirit, which is His love,
and this love burns us, consumes us, and draws us into unity
where beatitude awaits us. Jesus meant this when He said:
'With great desire have I desired to eat this Pasch with you.'"

There are now many prayer of the Church prayer books in the back and Father comes back to do the morning prayer with those that would like to join. This made me smile to know that I have been including Morning prayer in my hour for Father knowing that all priests and Deacons do morning and evening prayer. To say it with him today was really powerful and special!

My days are filled with Jesus in His Word! Starting the night before I with great anticipation and excitement read the readings for the next day and lay my head on my pillow with those words soaking into my heart, mind and soul! The Community of the Lamb taught me this and they call it "chewing on the Gospel.' Reading it again with morning prayer the next morning really makes it ring a bell inside me and different parts jump out as the Spirit is at work showing me His Way, Truth and LIFE!
After pondering the Word numerous times it is much like Lectio Devina where you repeat it many times - Hallel's Community speaks each line 4 times and then chants it. They take Jesus into themselves in Body, Blood and The Word! They then take Him to the poor when they beg for their food!
It looked like we could be busy up to Thanksgiving! We have gotten a lot done in window of time without rain, but about 2 inches of snow to make us feel like it is Christmas around the corner!
The Passion of the Christ is the highest-grossing rated-R movie in the US, of all time, at $370.8M! Worldwide it grossed $611M. Most importantly, it reached many souls around the world. Mel Gibson paid $30M out of his own pocket for the production because no studio would take on the project, and Jim Caviezel was warned not to take the role of Jesus because it would ruin his career.
During the filming, Caviezel lost 45 pounds, was struck by lightning, accidentally scourged with a whip twice, leaving a 14-inch scar, had his shoulder dislocated, and suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia from hanging mostly naked on a cross for several hours outside. His body was so stressed and exhausted from playing the role that he had to have 2 open heart surgeries after the production! The crucifixion scene alone took 5 weeks of the 2-month filming time.
Today is Jim Caviezel’s birthday, and he’s 51 years old. He proudly proclaims his faith in Christ amidst the godlessness of Hollywood.
Thank God for people like him who will step out to do what might not sound “fun”, but it gets out the Word of God and the story of His salvation of mankind. Happy birthday, Jim Caviezel! I’m looking forward to the sequel to this awesome movie!
