"I have been looking for you with great anxiety.” Mary/St Joseph Feast!/Home united to mom on day 3

Mom in her heaven... on the Big Lake!

Thanks to my niece we have this heavenly picture of my mother in her most beloved place in the world on the Inland Sea, Lake Michigan, where she and dad built their dream retirement home with a vacation home for us kids above them!

My parents were not wealthy in monetary terms, but they provided for their 11 children precious memories and experiences of FAMILY!  3 of the main ones were The Farm in Miltown, WI to get us out of the Big City of Minneapolis in the summers, Cross Christmas Camp at numerous camps over 35 years, and Michigan beginning with Traverse Bay while we lived in Flint for 11 years, and then Manistique, MI pictured above.  Many of us have the Big Lake in our blood as a result of growing up going there!
The gift of time with Jesus the morning after mom died.  So powerful!  Wearing the green bracelet my dad gave me as it was the only green I had with me after my sudden trip to The Cities to spend the last few hours with mom on this earth!

St Patrick on the 17th and now St Joseph!

Happy Feast Day to all my Joseph’s!

Big party in Heaven today put on by Mary and Jesus! Mom is there with bells on! Bless bless

My mother was never one for parties.. when dad ended up in the hospital when we had planned to have their 70th wedding anniversary/90th birthday for mom... she rejoiced! But we are smiling to think of all the feasts and celebrations she has encountered in her 3 short days or everlasting days in Heaven! Arriving to all the FAMILY she has there... for me alone there is my sister, and brother, 7 children and 6 grandchildren! My sister, Marty, mentioned that she also has 4 children and numerous grandchildren, so that is a huge party reunion to enjoy.
Sharing time in prayer and goodbyes!

We all found comfort in mom joining our sister, Mary, whose birthday is on St Patrick's Day on the following day!  Mary passed in 1986 at age 28 and was 62 yesterday... Mary always decked out in green and loved to celebrate her birthday to the highest heaven!  So mom got to join her there!
Mary was Nancy's Godmother, so she always honors her with going to the max with GREEN and loving thoughts to and from heaven!
Relaxing the new rules of social distancing to allow us to say goodbye to our wife and mother!

These words from the Gospel jumped out today with all the closings... even mass and the Sacraments!  “Son, why have you done this to us?
Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.”
And he said to them,
“Why were you looking for me?
Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
But they did not understand what he said to them.
He went down with them and came to Nazareth,
and was obedient to them.
Luke 2

There is truly great anxiety in this world and such drastic precautions are snowballing all around us!  Here we can still go to the Adoration chapel to come face to face with Jesus, and He continues to dwell in our inner temple and in His Father's house.  What I pray and long to see in all this that the fear and anxiety which is felt by all will lead them to come to Jesus and to search for HIM!
Deep in prayer at such a powerful time to share with mother!  As a Hospice nurse for 14 years I have always appreciated the way that death takes all of the superficial out of the way and we focus on Faith and Family as we walk into the sunset of our lives.  Keeping mom comfortable, saying our goodbyes, and praying without ceasing after she had received the anointing of the sick.
At Nancy's house after we lost my mother here on earth!  This little sweet George kept crawling over to grandmother to sit on her lap and give her sweet comfort!
Not usually a baby magnet like my hubby - this guy showed me that grandma is loved by him!
Nancy like the rest of the world is now homeschooling her kids!  Gus showed the Cross stitch Maximilian Kolbe he is working on!  Adorable 8 year old boy learning how to stitch like his great mom!
Such a blessing praying with Nancy's family on the night of my mother's passing over into heaven!  The kids always remember their siblings in heaven - Peter, Maximilian, and Catherine.  "Grandma is meeting our brothers and sister today!"
Mom at my brother, Bruce's graduation from HS about 40 years ago.
At my niece, Sarah's wedding about 25 years ago
 In 1993

Time spent looking through scrap books when I spent a day and night with my dad before coming back to the farm last night!  You can tell, I am sure!
Precious time with my dad.  He is so amazing and when I left I could say to him as I always did when I left mom and dad before..."I enjoyed every last minute while I was with you!  It is a gift and I am so lucky!"
Calling family and friends at his desk to let them know of "dear Nancy's passing."
My two mothers!  There is one better than you, mom, and I know you agree and are not offended!  I can only imagine the huge Feast/party that Jesus and Mary and all the Angels and Saints are putting on today for dear St Joseph!
I can only Imagine - Mercy Me
I am sure that my mom is dancing and praising one minute and on her knees the next!

Her empty chair, her rosaries, her as a young woman and mother, her prayer books, which she prayed each morning with her Deacon husband in The Church since 1971 - 48 years, her monk bookends that she found second hand and loved!
Cow TV watching the kids, now home from school indefinitely out helping dad and grandpa.  I think they will be glad when school starts again!

When this ends- AND IT WILL-every game will sell sell out, every restaurant will have a 2-hour wait, every kid will be glad to be in school, everyone will love their job, the stock market will skyrocket, every other house will get TP'd, and we'll all embrace and shake hands. That's gonna be a pretty good day. Hang in there, World.'
Yes, doing without will make us appreciate what we took for granted before!
A nice couch for David!

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much!  You seem so close to me this day as I constantly reflect upon my mother first few days of celebrating in heaven forever with you!  So very close!  St Joseph, bless in a special way all my Josephs this day and always.  Jesus, we trust in you in this crazy time of worry and trouble in this world.  Amen
Dad gives Mary a kiss each morning when he turns up the thermostat behind her.  So sweet as I watched him kiss our mother goodbye!  Bless-bless, Barb

The Holy Family; of Saint Joseph, The Blessed Mother and the Son of God is the beginning and the model for the great Family of God, His Church here on earth. In this way, Saint Joseph is a father to all of us.
