John and Bobbi's 2nd /Shout with joy and gladness all our days!

Rejoice with me this day!  It is John and Bobbi's 2nd Anniversary today, and Joseph and Maria's 13th!  Oh the glorious memories that flood my heart as I ponder this day 2 years ago as well as 13 years ago, and all that has poured down upon them since!

Yes, there have been some struggles along the way... marriage is not an easy road!  Our spouse becomes our Most Cherished Cross and embracing that cross brings to us LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
So many prayers prayed by these two over these years since they spent their entire 13 years of school together as classmates, and such an amazing answer they were given!   Arms filled with the most amazing anniversary gift - two good, healthy and beautiful children!

Maria's wedding day - June 2, 2007 with her 4 siblings.

Today John and Maria share their anniversaries on the same day!   Maria is at 13 years and 6 children, and John is at 2 years and 2 children.

Concelebrated by many priests and my Deacon father, Robert, and such a powerful gathering of friends praying through the mass in Latin.  My deacon father was very impressed by the young Catholics, who enthusiastically took part in the mass and obviously had embraced the Church in Spirit and in Truth!

Sharing a Sacrament with their new daughter just 2 days before they shared the Sacrament of Matrimony with the mass of Corpus Christi on this day 2 years ago!

I was sharing with my father this morning that they were so concerned that their wedding mass not lead to the sin of omitting Sunday mass that they waited until 4p and had the mass of Corpus Christi for their wedding readings and mass!  Father Craig preached on John 6!  "Unless you eat my Body and drink my Blood, you will have no life in you."  Wow!
The beautiful wonderful bride, Bobbi, 2 years ago in St Eloi on a glorious day in every way!
Married and so many prayers answered!
St Therese and Our Lady over their shoulders and in their hearts and assisting them to find each other and come together as the Holy Spirit had led Bobbi 10 years before and she trusted!
All amazed as Bobbi shared her story with the 300 guests about how she waited and prayed for John and trusted for 10 years before he asked her out after mass!!!

After being classmates for all 13 years for them to come together 10 years after graduating is kind of special.  She shared to the 300 family and friends gathered at the reception in her sweet humble way about how John Verly popped into her head and heart when they were seniors in HS as her future husband.  Time and time again the same answer came to her through prayer and roses from St Therese and opening her eyes to see him right in front of her at WYD in Australia... When we consider what John experienced over those 10 years... brain cancer, seminary, girl friends, ups and downs and how disheartening it probably was and how powerful her prayers were for him!!!!  Amazing!!!   And how patient and trusting and prayerful and waiting and praying for John, this sweet girl was!
Such a glorious Sacrament to celebrate now 2 days later for their anniversary... no better way to celebrate the Anniversary of their Sacrament of Matrimony which is a daily Sacrament in my mind as we need the graces that come from this each day of our marriages to help us down the narrow path!

With all this celebrating today and over the weekend - these words from the 90th Psalm from mass today seem to be special to us...
Fill us at daybreak with your kindness,
that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days.
Let your work be seen by your servants
and your glory by their children.
R.    In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

Yes, I love how the children are to witness the Faith and JOY of their parents as they follow Jesus and HIs Bride, The Church with no reservations!
My wonderful Most Cherished Cross, Patrick, who is my champion for LIFE and family!  When I asked him at our marriage encounter if we were being selfish to want a large family - "The world needs lights." was all the answer we needed, and the Lord had his own way of bringing that about for us - 7 in heaven keeping our eyes focused on being together with them there, and 5 wonderful LIGHTS with us here!

Maria's words yesterday;
"Ruth is building the world.
Nancy is converting the world.
Maria is teaching the world.
Susan/Hallel is changing the world.
John is growing the world."
Gathered around my Deacon father, who married me and baptized all 5 - 3 of which were gathered together for Birdie's Baptism!  Such a blessing!

He also preached at Ruth's wedding and Nancy's wedding and was a deacon on the altar for Maria's wedding.  He was unable to make it to John's wedding due to mom breaking a bone in her foot the day before.  Otherwise they had planned to come, but the Lord had other plans.

Such a beautiful passing on of the Faith in Jesus and His Bride, The Church, by my father as he listened to the Holy Spirit 49 years ago up to this very day when we prayed the office of Morning prayer together and lifted up the couples along with his entire family of 140+ and the state of our country.

We chuckled yesterday as the nurse was tending to my father with Mary and Joseph with Jesus in his arms looked on.  "Never before has this happened to me." said his nurse.
Then a haircut in the kitchen with the family looking on!
His nurse was a cosmetologist and then became a nurse - so dad is treated very royally!    We sure love hospice and how well dad is cared for!  We have no complaints!
Hot and windy days - we prayed outside and it was over 90 degrees yesterday. Summer is here!
Barbara and Birdie Barbara!  So special to hear my name proclaimed with love and specialness.
Life is a gift and is truly the greatest gift there is!

Jesus, how we love you and long to die to self so that you may live in us!  May we give all the control to you - you are our ALL in all!  May we give without counting the cost!  "Wounded, I will never cease to love."  Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS is our motto and goal in our domestic Church/family!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Hallel with the Lamb - 2 months later after John and Bobbi's wedding - Hallel took her final vows and the mountain went to France!  21 of us to surround her with our LOVE and JOY!  "I promise unto death!"
The two newly weds - John to Bobbi and Hallel to Jesus!
The last time we were all together - August 2018
I have so much hope that it can happen later this summer.  A mother can hope and pray right?  Bless-bless, Barbara

Around Hallel in celebration in France!

Beautiful day from yesterday!  Mary is in our homes and they are better for it!
Danielle Rose - the Saint that is just me
O God beyond all praising
Maria walked down the aisle to this and my mother had it in her funeral plans and we sang it at her graveside - so amazing!
Peter Mayer - Holy now
Ginny Owens - If you want me to
