Marge 43 years ago - Pat her best man... a year later my husband/show me the (narrow) path to LIFE!

Big smiles on their faces!

Even 5 year old Romeo and 3 year old Evie! I wouldn't put it past 1 year old Hector trying to get on it too!

Maria has updated her blog... I have permission to use her pictures here.

Sleep under the dome in rainy Washington happened, too for the boys!

It looks cool like here today after the cold front collided with the heat of 100 degrees with the humidity!  Only 1/2 inch of rain here though.  Starting to look for rain and pray that the bubble leaves overhead!
Dad with his 3 oldest a few years back
 Then with mom...
Visiting my sister, Mary's grave, on ALL Souls Day a couple years ago.
 An oldie with dad
The 3 girls posing in front of the painting my mother always looked upon as reminiscent of her 3 oldest daughters.  We were in Michigan to help my parents clean the cabin after our weeks there - each child could take a week on Lake Michigan for summer vacation with our parents.
Mom with Maria and little Evie, who is now 3 1/2 so it was probably Christmas 2 years ago.

Maria and my mother were kindred spirits - both introvert intellectuals.
Praying with my parents was a gift to me!  This was in 2017

Now each morning and evening dad and I carry forth the Prayer of The Church, which he is pledged to as a Permanent Deacon in The Catholic Church now for 44 years!  Married couples share this call to prayer in their marriages in the vows of a Deacon in The Church!
Little Evie watching great-grandpa making our lunch.
She found great-grandpa's lap, and is a chip off the old block....me.
Me at that age with my parents... being the oldest of the 12 there are many of baby me.  It makes me feel very loved indeed!

To have my dad here now sharing in my life is a special gift indeed, which he prophesied years ago saying that if anything happened to mother, he would come and live with me!
Cross Christmas 2017 - we have added 4 new little ones and a wife to John since!  Dad's family is up over 140 now!

Sidetracked with mom and dad times... it has been so recent that we lost mother.  It all seems like I am still sad and coming to grips with her being gone.

I was looking for pictures from Marge's wedding to share today as it is 43 years ago today that I came to Marshall to attend her wedding on a very hot Saturday, and met my Patrick, her brother.  14 months later we were married after a long distance courtship.

Mom and I having one of our wonderful visits by her beautiful Christmas tree.  How I would love to share our Faith and Family together in deep sharing from the heart!

Love this stanza from the Psalm for today - Psalm 16
You will show me the path to life,
fullness of joys in your presence,
the delights at your right hand forever.
R. Keep me safe, O God; you are my hope.

As we pray each day there is one for those that have gone before us...  Dad always prays for his wonderful Nancy being there in His Presence!  So much comfort fills me!
Many times in the last years I have had this blessing and joined them in prayer.  Even now we know that mom is there with us joining us in "perfect prayer" now that she can see with eyes of Faith and no distractions!  Perfect LOVE for her husband and family!
Bobbi attended CCC 2017 as a fiance of John.  Holding baby Evangeline as great-grandpa shares with her how he is #1 in the huge Cross Family!
Hallel holding Dominic a few years back.  Lately I have come to realize how much Hallel must miss Nancy's bunch, whom she saw most every week while they both were living in KC!
Now with baby JoJo, who just turned 4!

I apologize for jumping all around today.  I am feeling emotional at the changes and losses and going back to meeting my husband for the first time today is all tied into that looking back.  The present is here and my dad and I are taking each day as it comes.
2018 just before they took down their beautiful tree for that year.
Dad praying in his chair -we are now praying at the breakfast table after he finishes his meal.  Such JOY and the wind beneath my wings for what we face with each new day.

Lately we have some changes and some big fake plans out there.  We just kind of take each wave as it comes to us!  He loves to hear from family and have visits from time to time.  We are starting to get out a bit, but about once a week is all that he can handle.  He is adjusting to living in the country... last night with a storm we had no power for about 5 hours.  New experience living in the country on the farm.  He is very interested in how a farm works and amazes my farmer husband with how sharp he is and interested in all things farming.
 My mother's artwork!
Another chip off the old block - Therese, who is now 12!
Hallel with the 3 little girls on her home visit 3 years ago in 2017!
Therese with baby sister, Evangeline, on her Baptism day when she was a week old - November of 2017
My mother with her broken foot which kept them from coming to John and Bobbi's wedding.  Such are the ups and downs of old age. Now mom has been gone for 3 months after a fall, which broke her hip and she died about 10 hours later.  "Quick, but not sudden." says my father.
Another companion in the Spiritual plane on this journey - my sister, Mary, who lived with me for some months while I was pregnant with daughter #2, and fell in love with the farm, married her farmer and had a daughter, Audrey.  She died from lymphoma at age 28... Audrey was 20 months!

I envision mom and Mary together with my brother, Lincoln, who died at 2 days and around them are leaping all the dogs that my mother loved so much!  Big dogs!!!  What joy as I know that the Lord has shown them the path to LIFE!  Each day as dad and I say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy - I have a 10 bead decade devoted to them!
Michigan with the family - 6 years ago!  LOVE this and am sharing it just because... I am on a crazy twisty turny path today... started because I am thinking back to meeting my Most Cherished Cross 43 years ago and "never a dull moment" came to me in my life - wave after wave of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!  And fulfilling our sharing our Faith/Family/Farm!

Jesus, how I love you and need you as I am weak and poor when I try to carry/drag my Most Cherished Cross and follow you down the narrow path.  It is true that when I am in your presence in prayer that I am filled with so much gratitude and JOY!  My cup overflows as your amazing Church gives me all I need for each day.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Shortly after  their wedding 2 years ago... how the Lord has answered their prayers for family!  2 precious little ones!  Bless-bless, Barbara
My little namesake, Birdie Barbara on her Baptism day a week and a half ago.
The radishes from yesterday's picking - too many to hold and getting so big!
Dad and I ate quite a few with our supper.
Memory of Luke Paul 6 years ago... he is so engaging and sweet to this day!
From 2 to 30 since I met you 43 years ago today!  By your Fruits you will know them... thank you, Lord!  Learning at the feet of my children is such a blessing!
