Sharing Corpus Christi with John and family/A day with you, O Lord, is better than a thousand elsewhere!

Basking in the LIGHT after sharing Corpus Christi Mass - George's sisters are glowing to see him in the lap of Great-grandpa!
A kiss from big sister, Bernadette, who is 7 1/2.
Then from 4 year old Josephine.  George would spend the night with us in our quiet home, so the girls wouldn't see him from about 5:30p at night til the morning. Obviously he is loved and missed!

It was a glorious mass to share with my father - his 3rd mass in a row shared in church!  John and Bobbi also were there with Jude and Birdie, and that was an anniversary of Spiritual dimensions as they had the mass of Corpus Christi celebrated as their wedding mass 2 years ago on June 2nd!  So powerful to have their wedding at 4p on Saturday so that all those attending could fulfill their Sunday obligation which happened to be Corpus Christi - John 6 and all!!!
"Amen, Amen I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have have life within you."   Nothing more clear and true than that!
George and dad sharing his wheels and gathering girls around them!
People also excited to meet Birdie Barbara behind them.  Birdie's first mass with her family!
Prairie wind blowing their hair and into church for our family sharing Faith and Family time supreme!
A memory from 6 years ago - baby Dominic with his big brother, Augustine.  Dominic had his 6th birthday on Friday while mom and dad were away... I have a feeling that they will be celebrating this week at home.
Back from mass we had a windy breakfast on the porch with a crowd including John and Bobbi on their Corpus Christi Anniversary!  How we rejoice to be receiving Jesus again during the mass in our church!  What JOY!
The kitchen was a beehive of activity as we fed 20 breakfast!
It was fun to see these two dressed in polos and jeans for mass... grandpa held them both at the same time quite a bit and they were such good boys!  How he loves to care for the little ones and they just relax and lay their heads on his huge shoulders as he cradles them in his huge hands!  He not only is my champion for family and LIFE, but he is equipped to hold LIFE in his arms - 2 or 3 of them!

Dad ate in from the huge Holy Spirit winds of the prairie and we had a house full all around him.  It is nice for him that he has his own apartment and can rest away from the craziness.  We appreciate him here sharing as much with us as he can manage!

I thank him so much each week that he joins us for mass!  The most important part of our week.  We have noticed that there are more people sharing mass with us with the restrictions loosening.  Pat will comment on "the want tos and the have tos."   I will leave it as that.  We certainly are so thrilled to be back sharing mass as a family, and receiving Jesus in us!  It shows in our lives, hearts, souls and minds!
The two 3-4 year old cousins in the wind with Pipi braids!   Grandma sure loves to do girls' hair after my 4 girls in a row.
First I did Joy and Berna's hair, and when JoJo saw their braids she came and asked grandma, too!  My happiness was complete!
Baby lover, Big Dave with his new cousin Birdie and Gus looking on as she looks into their eyes and smiles for them in her sweet peaceful way!
Too special not to get two of them adoring a new LIFE!  These boys are growing up surrounded by siblings and cousins and all of us are living the Truth of "being open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!"
Adorable cherub Birdie hanging out with my Most Cherished Cross and the king of our family, dad!  There is not much more greater JOY for this daughter than to have my wonderful father feeling better after we have handled the pain he was having and sharing in our day to day family life and faith LIFE!
The little ones love him, and Birdie is already in those big hands!
Such a gift she is!!!  So many prayers answered by John and Bobbi for their wonderful family from heaven above!
Also my delight to see the little boys being together and sharing the same fun and not really having any fights over things or toys or chairs that spin.
Around in a comfy chair that belonged to their great-grandma, Nancy, is great fun shared!

It was a different morning with dad - one in which I read the morning prayer from the Office to him as he sat in his chair in the bedroom.  There would be some of his input, but he needed to lay back in his chair and couldn't read himself.  Sharing the first Psalm 84... all about how we are so blessed and filled with graces when we are allowed to live in His Dwelling place in our inner temple!
"One day within your courts *
is better than a thousand elsewhere..."  Psalm 84

Sharing our prayer together as we deal with the hurdles, and make our prayer a living part of our lives here together!
Always 3 seems to cover it for me!
Picking up George on our last night with the kids - Ruth's new clothesline filled to capacity!  I could hear voices of Rose and Berna from the livestock trailer - they were having fun playing in there after it is nicely power washed out.

Pat spoke of how the 11 kids on the farm for those days were outside here and there and everywhere playing and exploring the farm!  Such a great life we are blessed with!
George getting a lot of help in coming to grandma...
George sharing supper and evening prayer with great-grandpa.
George sharing his blanket with great-grandpa and the fly swatter went back and forth, too!  It sure was great to see George and great-grandpa getting to know each other over the days he would come to share our quite home for bedtime for 4 days.
Laying against great-grandpa in his chair before they headed back to the Cities yesterday.  "You are my great-grandpa and I know you and love you." says 16 month old George Blaise.
Berna and Joy in matching dresses and hair in the wind after mass and breakfast on the porch.
Always aglow and smiling with inner JOY is Joy Jean with her red hair in Pipi Longstockings braids from grandma.
Swinging on the porch gate is fun in the wind with the hair blowing your braids all around - these two are 2 of the 3 little girls in this age group - Evie is also 3 and lives in Washington... there are fake plans to get them all together when Maria comes for 2 weeks at the end of the summer.  A mom can hope and pray for us to ALL be together!

Evie with her brother Hector, who is between George and Jude!  Oh, to get my 3 boys together would make my heart sing!

Evangeline with her brother, Romeo, who is the same age as Dominic and Luke, with their dome behind them!
Hold on tight - don't let that wind blow you all the way to Washington!  Actually Ruth and Paul are taking their family of 8 to Washington to visit Maria and Joseph on base!  Wow!  So happy for them!
Roses from Bobbi, encheladas from Angela and fresh lettuce from my garden!
Rose comes with the workers putting the creep feeder out in the pasture and stops to talk to us about the cats on their farm after grandpa and I pray our rosary and chaplet on Saturday.  How I love that my kids and grandkids are having time with my dad!
It sure was special to have time with George and share in his smiles and sweetness for old grandma and even older great-grandpa!  He adores his grandpa Farmer Pat after a long line of older ones before him!
 Clapping for JOY!
Playing with Dominic - the kids sure to love their siblings!  Having brothers and sisters is worth so much more than stuff!  No comparison!
Bill and Nancy back to pick up the kids and we shared another huge family meal on our porch in the wind!
Birdie Barbara magnet as she looked around peacefully at all the adoring faces!
Beloved and blessed is our 19th grandchild and my father's 58th great-grandchild!
Joy kisses and George smiles and Birdie soaking in the LOVE!
Big Brother, Jude, joins the gathering around his sister!
Nancy holding her Godson, Jude as he gazes upon his sister.
How can I stop recording this precious moment in our family - we love you sweet baby Birdie Barbara!
LIFE is the most precious gift!  How did it become acceptable that we can take a life in the womb? Lord, please end the horror of abortion!
Brother and sister gentle and sweet!
Nothing more sweet in this world!

 George's turn and JOY!
Jesus, how we delight in the gift of LIFE that makes our love grow more with each addition to our growing family!  How we love that we share our Faith as a family - our greatest JOY is Jesus, Mary and The Church!  Our cup overflows with so many blessings and graces with each new day.  May we die to self so that you may live in us!  Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
My sweet George out on the porch in the evening - he filled our time with happiness and we sure got to know what a wonderful little boy he is for old grandma and grandpa and even older great-grandpa.  These little ones have no idea how lucky they are to get to know my dad!  With such a huge family that is not possible for most of his 58 great-grands.  I am the lucky one and so are my family here on the farm and elsewhere.  Bless-bless, Barbara
