He has promoted our accepting the children the Lord had for us - "The world needs lights!" The Lord's plan and what we thought were two different things indeed! 7 in heaven and 5 here with us also embracing this Truth - Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!
Each new little one makes our love larger and more rather than spread more thin! That in itself is the mystery of LOVE and LIFE!

Today we were praying together for our family and dad pondered the true miracle it was for us to enter the Church after Vatican 2 and the tide of many leaving due to the misunderstanding of what it was asking... not total freedom to do whatever you want including leaving convents and priesthood, rather going back to the roots of your orders and rediscovering the Truth that lies there. Dad and I agree that it makes it that much more miraculous that we swam against the tide at such a crazy mixed up time. Truly my father was listening to the Holy Spirit as we were directed into the True and Only Catholic Church!

Psalm 120 from mass today speaks of how these two wonderful men in my life have brought me the Truth...The LORD will guard you from all evil;
he will guard your life.
The LORD will guard your coming and your going,
both now and forever.
R. Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
So much is given to me with each new day in The Church - my cup runneth over indeed with Jesus, Mary, the Saints, prayer of The Church, and rosary and chaplet! Armed for the battle also with the sword of Truth which is the Word!!!
A week ago we celebrated Anniversary #2 for these two! Now with 2 new little ones!
Two peonies from Bobbi... They are so stunning and smell so wonderful, too.
They remind me of their wedding as Bobbi had them in her bouquet and around the church. Everything was so beautiful in every way, and peonies will always bring that back to me. Now they continue to have such powerful answers to prayers for family!

My father slept in til 9:30a - he had such a big day yesterday, but so good with a party here in our home, too!
My brother, Jim and his family, including our Godson, Dan, who is a highschool graduate! The pizza party came to us!
Missing one daughter, Sarah, gathered around dad. We have family coming at the end of the week, too, and are working on plans to have mom's funeral mass up in Taylors Falls in the next few weeks hopefully.

It is only discovering Christ in the text that opens The Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount, up to us and enables it to become a word of hope... If we get to the bottom of the Beatitudes, the secret subject, Jesus, appears everywhere. He it is in whom it becomes clear what it means to be poor in spirit; it is he who mourns, who is meek, who hungers and thirsts for righteousness, who is the merciful. He is pure in heart, he is the peacemaker, he is persecuted for righteousness sake. All the sayings of the Sermon on the Mount are flesh and blood in him. In this way we can finally discern... it's actual definite instructions for us: The Sermon on the Mount is a summons to follow Jesus Christ in discipleship.

Sharing the Beatitudes for us to ponder and realize that Jesus in us will allow us to die to self so that He can live in us, and the Beatitudes can come to Truth in us!

for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.

Your great-grandfather prays for you daily sweet baby girl! How we rejoice at your Baptism and seal of Faith in The Catholic Church from now forward.
Windswept smiles - who would think that the last two days would be too hot and windy to pray on the porch. Thankfully not too bad for our sharing a meal on the porch after mass. Dad reported that it was so special for him to be able to have our Sunday doughnuts after mass on Ruth's beautiful porch after he has seen my posting numerous times about this family time supreme!
Ruth sets such a beautiful table surrounded by the green pastures with cows and calves bringing to life the 23 Psalm - so peaceful and loved and cared for are we!
Fruit, eggs, doughnuts, and pop too! A true party! Grandpa takes a few each week after mass to get the sweets and fruit from Walmart.
One more... to show our rejoicing to have Jesus in us - receiving him in the Eucharist finally after so much time away due to the pandemic! A picture of JOY and LOVE!
Joy on one side and Birdie in his arm doesn't cramp grandpa's style at all! My dad taking it all in! He actually announced to all of us how much he was happy to share in this family time after mass.
There were kittens and cats around their feet, too! LIFE on all levels!

Jesus, I am aglow with your love for us and how we can share that LOVE with each new day in The Church! We are nothing without you, yet you are leading us down the narrow path if only we die to self so that you can work in us. May we give without counting the cost this day. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
