Easter Monday - April 5,2010...Lord God, how great you are, clothed in magesty and glory.- Ps104:1

The joy is carrying over and it just seems that we are more at peace and happy with each other in the little things around here. His resurrection has made a difference! Now that is the epitome of understatements isn't it? But I don't know about you, but the hardest things for me are those little things with the ones closest to you and how they annoy and make you be a nasty person. I want to be resurrected with Jesus today and forward! I am in awe of the meditation of the day for today in the Magnificat... it is by Ubertino of Casale who died in 1330... he was a Franciscan... it is a give and take between Mary the Mother of God and her resurrected Son... following the reading of today from Matthew28:8-15 where Mary Magdeline and Mary his Mother leave the tomb and encounter Jesus on the way.... "they approached, embraced his feet and did him homage." What a touching picture in my mind and heart!

There is no way that I can share the whole thing with you all, but I would once again highly encourage you to go to www.magnificat.com and truly consider taking this as part of your prayer life every day. It has made a world of difference for Pat and i and now John in sharing the prayers and scriptures of the church each day together. So powerful for us on this journey... cancer/healing. I will share some of this powerful meditation with you and then I will excitedly share some pictures of Easters past that I have been wanting to share, but wanted to wait for Easter week. I have quite a few so I will probably spread them out over the next week as it is Easter week! Halleluia! I have to put that "H" in it this year in honor of our daughter... Little Sister Hallel. Now you see what her name truly means... now that we are in the midst of the Easter Joy!

"His devoted Mother answered him: "This is what I was pondering attentively: that, as you were dying on your most holy cross, in the midst of your suffering, you entrusted John to me. Because you include all men in John, this means that my affecion embraces all the elect. Then how will I be able to cover the multitude of sinners in your sight if you take from me the cloak of your flesh? How will I wash their disfigured faces if you take from me the bath of your blood? How will I nail them to the cross of your wounds if the mark of those wounds is seen no more? How will I bury them in your death if you take away the experience of your death? Take these things into account, my beloved Son, and leave me, along with your sufferings, the instruments of your passion: the nails, the thorns, the cross, the spear, for without them I cannot live in my passible flesh. You know, O Dearest Son, that I never defied your will to the slightest degree, and so, if you hear and grant my desire, I will return you to substance of the flesh that I conceived in my virginity."

Then sweetest Jesus, all aflame with love for his Mother, hearing her lament so sorrowfully and lovingly, said to her: "Dearest Mother, I see that you are pleased by my total glorification. I leave you the treasure of my love and my bitter suffering, and I impress upon your mind the instruments of my passion."

Glorious Lord... we fall at your feet and feel the warm sunhine on our backs as we bask in your love and forgiveness.... lift us up to walk forward into our lives to love and serve as you did! Jesus we trust in You! Bless-bless,Barb
