Friday of the second week of Easter - April 16,2010 - "Now there was a great deal of grass in that place... so they reclined, about 5,000 in number."

Today in John6:1-15... once again we are resting in the grass on the hillside! How wonderful and delightful to sit there and watch my Lord perform the miracle that feeds my hunger! It makes me feel that when I am at mass and watch the priest as an extention of Christ performing that same miracle now turning the bread and wine into His Body and Blood... I would love to recline in the grass and feel the sunshine on my face and to know that he is caring for my every need! Jesus I love you and want to receive you with full knowledge and love of the miracle that has just taken place out of your LOVE for me and every living soul on this earth! John 6 is the Eucharistic Chapter of all chapters in the Bible... How appropriate that it begins with Jesus feeding the five thousand! All those that have followed him for healing and the amazing Words of life that he shared with them at the Sermon on the Mount! Christ in His Word and His Real Food in the Eucharist!

Beautiful words by Paul Claudel in a Poem today...From Hymn of the Blessed Sacrament:

"Our supersubstantial bread, O give us, today!
Enough of the morning's manna. the bread with transience imbued!
Enough of the taste of blood and flesh, of honey and fruit and whey -
Tree of life, give us bread to stay!
Thyself art my Food!...

One instant with Thee is more precious than a thousand in human tents.
In Thine adorable presence it is good for us to remain.
Thou callest me, Word of God, knowing past and future events.
I cry out my intents:
"I will go in, unto the place where Thy tabernacle has lain!"

Jesus we love you and thank you for all that you give us as we receive your miraculous Bread to feed our hunger and Word to fill us with your Truth... We will forever be changed and go forth to serve all those that we come in contact with to honor and serve! Jesus we trust in You! Bless-bless, Barb

Here are some of those "birthday" shots from yesterday...With the beautiful backdrop of spring and the wonderful building site Ruth and Paul are blessed to have for their home with their 3 kids... Of course baby kitties and cute kids and Blessed Mother statue and beautiful tulips at the perfect point... too amazing!
