Family well wishes...

Little Rose is so sweet, and grandma had her to myself to dress up and take pictures the other day... so I have many to share with my words today.  I just had the excitement and joy of gathering well wishes/birthday wishes from as much of Hallel's close family as possible.  That way when she finally gets her birthday package there is so many more sharing with her than just her emotional and sentimental mom.  Realizing yesterday that I only had a week to get her birthday package to her - it takes about 10 days - I was a bit stressed as I worked on her card and picked up a few small gifts to send her.  I think she will consider it her birthday week, and getting this a few days later will be acceptable.  I had so much fun taking her example to me on my birthday and going to the 27th psalm for her 27th birthday!  It is about the best psalm ever, and I love the psalms so much!  It just spoke so much of Hallel's life with the Community and her relationship with her spouse, Jesus Christ!
"When you said, 'Come worship me,'
I answered, 'I will come, Lord.' "  Psalm 27:8  This brings visions to me of her life of prayer throughout each day and her time on her knees adoring HIM in the chapel!
How I love to go to my inner temple and find that peaceful and holy place where I have shared in the worship and adoring of Christ with my children - they draw me ever deeper!  I can go there and feel HIM surrounding me with so much happiness knowing that my children have put HIM first in their lives!  As my husband told Hallel in France a year ago, when we were there for her taking of her first vows with the Community of the Lamb..."I want all my children to get to heaven.  That is the one thing that I want for my children."  Hallel smiled at him and told him that he had better never stop praying for her because she has a long ways to go.  Don't we all?  Lately I have gotten in touch with how weak and selfish that I am, but I have also been praying that the Lord lead me more and more into humility.  It only makes sense that this is where I find myself!  Thank you, Lord, for answering my heartfelt prayers!

Women in blue - forever changed by our daughters taking of the blue habit!  Jesus, I am filled with such joy to be led deeper and deeper in a life of humble service by my children.  You know that I am poor at this call in my life, and I need so much help to follow after you!  I know that I have all those prayers of my little ones in heaven - all 6 of them are there praying for our family and rejoicing as we become less and less so that you become more and more!  It is such a gift to our little grandchildren to have the religious community closely in our lives and now the men that are answering your call to the priesthood in the seminary too are becoming more and more present to us through John.  He seems so excited and happy to be meeting other men that are close to you, and the experiences that he is blessed with in the worship and learning  that is part of his daily walk called disecernment/seminary!  Learning and sharing the prayer life and mass and adoration along with the tremendous endless learning we are given through our amazing Church!  It is too much sometimes when I consider all the ways that you are at work in our lives!  Jesus, we praise and adore you and yearn to learn more and more about your LIFE and LOVE!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
Mary, you have such a wonderful namesake!  You have so many wonders to discover about your Lord and his Bride, The Church, in your lifetime!  So exciting and wonderful beyond your wildest dreams!  The Truth is so amazing... there lies true happiness!
"I know that I will live to see the Lord's goodness in this present life.
Trust in the Lord.
Have faith, do not despair.
Trust in the Lord."  Psalm 27: 13-14
