Halleluia! It's a giving birth day!!!!!! Sept 18!!

Yes, it's one of those celebratory days in my life - a giving birth day to my 4th daughter, Susan Angela... now little Sister Hallel!  There is something very deep and powerful about the day that we gave birth to our children.  I must say that the days that I lost the 6 that are in heaven, for the most part, are not days cemented in my memory.  I do think of them daily, and pray for them, and mostly feel their prayers for me and their family, but the day of loss is not one that I celebrate nor remember.  There is a lot of pain there!  But this day is a giving Praise to the highest heavens day - Hallel, means just that - the highest Praise!  Hallel pointed out that whenever anyone says her name they are giving all the praise to God!  If you think it looks a bit familiar - it is the first part of Halleluia and means just that!
Hallel loves children, and already has a neice and nephew that she has yet to meet... in a few short months that will be 2 necies and 2 nephews.  How we long to hear word that she might be coming back to Kansas City soon!  My prayer lately has been for "a real hug soon, Lord."  I would so love to get a real picture, and not one that I make, with all of our family in it! That would mean that Joseph is safely home from Alfghanistan -please continue to join us in praying for this intention!  I am sure you have all heard the scary situations over there!  Lord, we fall on our knees and beseech you to protect Joseph and all those in harms way - Guardian angels watch out for them!  It would also mean that Hallel would return to the U.S.

Lord Jesus, we know that Hallel has embraced your call to leave it all behind.  We ask for patience and acceptance of her being seperated from us by an ocean.  We see her joy and the graces she receives as she learns to be humble and to carrry your Word forth into the world.  We are forever touched and changed by your love for our family in the vocations that they are each called to as they bring forth your LIGHT into the world.  Bless Hallel this day with your Peace, Joy and Love... who needs anything else?  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Halleluia
Bless-bless, Barb
"One of the little sisters while walking back from the soup kitchen meets a young girl needing a helping hand.  The girl peers up at the little sister and eventually asks:  "Are you... God?"  The little sister smiles back:  "No, but I am a good friend of His!"

"On a particular Sunday afternoon we sit in our chapel sharing the Word of God:  Sarah is pregnant and tell us:  'My child is jumping!... From the moment I entered the Chapel.'  'That's normal!   The baby feels the presence of Jesus!'  replies Maria, one of our little neighbors, beaming with joy."
From a recent newsletter from the Community in Kansas City.  They are in the process of building a little monastery where the old Belgian rectory they were in was located in the heart of Kansas City - in the heart of our hurt and country that is becoming more and more darkness!  The name will be Christi Lumena - Light of Christ - they are located on the top of a hill and were told by a resident that when they came he could see their presence as a LIGHT on the hill, and he was no longer afraid!  Thank you, Lord!
