Hanging with St Patrick on Holy Ground on the 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time!

Two of the Patricks meet face to face!  I wept with so much gratitude in my heart when I took his hand reached out to me!  He seemed to glow with LOVE and understanding - knowing of the journey we shared a little over a year ago!  To share a small window on that journey with the part of our family gathered here was an emotional gift today in between the many masses that they have there.   We arrived just a couple minutes before mass was to start  and the people were streaming in… we could still spend some time with our special St Patrick in the side alcove.
St Patrick reaches out to his little namesake… how I longed to witness this time that Patrick could come and be whole, healthy and happy on the blessed ground of St Patrick's Cathedral where so many prayers were said in the midst of the battle for LIFE!  The family could see how the discovery of this most beautiful Church just blocks from where Patrick lay - the sickest baby in NICU!  Such a glorious gift!
So beautiful to be here on this 6th Sunday of Ordinary time!  Nothing is ordinary since the miracles that have filled us with wonder and awe over the last 4 years - first John and then Patrick!  Everything is Holy Now!
The little ones gather around the man with snakes all around his feet - Good Guy St Patrick!
Therese found her namesake on the way to find St Patrick!
A visit to the Eucharistic chapel where many prayers were said.  I remember vividly praying with a homeless man there when Patrick was going in for his EEG to see if any brain damage would show up.  It Looked good!  The homeless man walked out of the chapel and Joe's mom followed him, gave him some food and asked him to pray for Patrick, our newborn grandson, who was struggling for life!
Augustine and Bernadette with St Patrick… today people asked if Patrick and Bernadette were twins - being only a month apart they are very similar looking and doing the same things.
The 16 month and the 15 month cousins were busy dipping and eating side by side as grandpa spoiled them at McDonalds today.
Maria with her 3 in front of St Patrick's Cathedral.  It was really special when both Maria and Nancy got their babies blessed today!
The group shot taken by the security !
A beautiful night outside to end our last full day here - can we put it in a bottle and take it home with us?  We will want to have spring come quickly after this shot of beautiful weather!  Jesus, thank you for all your gifts and blessings - most especially those called Faith and Family and Farm!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barbara Verly
St Patrick go with us tomorrow as we go the long journey home!  We will have a stop with the Little Sisters on our way home!
