An old chair - if it could speak

Grandma had a mission... to get some photos of the 3 little ones together, so I picked out their clothes with that in mind, and we got a Dominic awake but the bright light made him close his eyes for the most part.  It was on the steps that we started, but Gus had a hard time holding his growing brother as hard as he tried, so...
We brought out the old wing chair that had been a part of my life for many years... in the houses that we have lived growing up in my family, and now here in Nancy's home.  Today it held Nancy's 3 - 3 year old, Augustine, 19 month old, Bernadette, and tomorrow a week old, Dominic!  So special!  This old beloved chair has seen so many family times down through the years, and could tell many a tales of Faith and Family!
To get the kids to smile grandma would lightly tickle bare toes, and the kids would try to tickle Dominic's toes too!
"Tickle, tickle, baby Dominic"  Too precious!  It has been a great day here busy with the little ones.  Bill returned to work and we have been having so much fun out enjoying the day before the rain starts again... it is supposed to rain every day this week!
Morning prayer was so special today with the use of Mark 4 - Jesus calming the storm.  So powerful for us as it was the reading on Father's Day 2009 when we first found out about John's brain cancer.  WE called France and Hallel reminded us that this was the storm and Jesus was in control.  So true of all the ups and downs we face in life - Jesus is in control!
Peaceful pose on the lush grass after another 2 inches of rain in the last few days!
We are in the midst of very exciting family times!  In three days Pat is flying to El Paso to help Maria drive up here with her 3 for 3 weeks!  She will have a week in Wisconsin with Joe's parents, and then our two weeks in Michigan!  All will be there for some of the time except our Little Sister Hallel!  We are so excited to share our family time in this most beautiful spot in the world, for us!
Dominic has his first accidental smile - when you take enough you can catch one of these.
Jesus, we are filled with such excitement at the promise of time spent with loved ones... meeting our newest member of the family is such a delight.  He is a wonderful little sweet boy, and doing so well - up to his birth weight already!!!  We love to watch our family grow in size, and also in the love and knowledge of YOU, O Lord, God of Heaven and earth!
"He stilled the storm to a whisper:
all the waves of the sea were hushed.
They rejoiced because of the calm
and he led them to the haven they desired."  Psalm 107
This is your promise to us - no matter what we face we need not fear for you are there to help us through, and to find LIFE eternal.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke and family
"He shall rule from sea to sea."  Psalm 72:8
"He's heavy mom."
