It sure warms my heart to have the little ones enjoying the fruit of all our toil canning wonderful food for them! Tomatoes, carrots, celery and onions make up our soup, and the tomatoes were just growing on the vine the day before! That is fresh and healthy!
Licking the spoon clean!
It is Jesus' Mother and ours birthday today! Since it is Sunday we don't dwell on it other than some reminders here and there. But it is a sweet and special day for us that love her so much and how she brought LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT into the world through her "yes!"

What a joyous day for Sts. Anne and Joachim. To have welcomed The Most Beautiful Daughter to have Ever lived after years of longing. How do you celebrate Our Lady's birthday in your home?
Baby and baby kitties after sharing mass as a family and having breakfast on the farm! I think Our Lady loves family sharing their Faith with JOY!
He makes me smile in my heart and soul! Our youngest grandchild is 5 1/2 months already! He is wonderful!
Never did a dirty face look so wonderful after we had just canned 90 quarts of soup!
We made it with love for you, Jude, and the other 17 grandkids and their moms and dads. Also for my parents, who will be getting some tomorrow when I go up there for my shift in the rotation. And finally The Community of the Lamb in KC! We are thinking that they will be returning to the U.S. this week and we are so hopeful that Hallel will be among them! It is her birthday in 10 days and I would love to take her some of our homemade canning and get a real hug!
Jude and grandma saying our rosary... Jude counts the beads in his mouth is all!
Psalm 90 from mass today is speaking our language of this 23rd Sunday of Ordinary time shared with Family at mass and breakfast on the farm!
Fill us at daybreak with your kindness,
that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days.
And may the gracious care of the LORD our God be ours;
prosper the work of our hands for us!
Prosper the work of our hands!
R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.
Also about our canning - the work of our hands filled with the goodness of fresh food we grow and can with love!
LOVE to pray with you, Jude! Always hold Our Mother of heaven and earth close to your heart! She will carry all your needs to her Son, Jesus, and he will always listen and answer his loving Mother!
A dark morning with rain all night long, and the candles lit on the altar welcomed us to The Table of the Lord! Mary and David served so beautifully and reverently.
Baby Jude and baby kittens with their eyes open to greet the new world!
The Gospel today is from Luke 14 and speaks about how we need to leave ALL behind and follow Our Lord!
"...anyone of you who does not renounce all his possessions
cannot be my disciple.”
He includes in this all our family members which calls us to give our all for Jesus.
Luke and Jude with baby kitten cuteness!
Jude was surrounded by so much excitement and new life!
Joy is big enough this year to be able to hold baby kitties without her sibs coming to their rescue. She is approaching 2 1/2 at the end of this month!
Bright eyes and smiles! Lucky kids to have kitties spring and fall.
Seeing the world for the first time!
Joy sharing her stuffed tiger she calls "Growl!!!"
Jude decided that grandma's arms were a good place for a nap with his thumb!
Naptime on a rainy Sunday!
Jesus, how we love to share your Truth as we share our Faith as a family with JOY! May we keep our eyes of our heart focused on you and take up our Cross and follow you! "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me
cannot be my disciple." You spoke to us in The Word proclaimed as we received you in The Word, your Body and Blood! May we always die to self so that you may live in us! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, BarbMy sister-in-law, Angela, attended an all school reunion at The Basilica last evening, and here is the special priest, Fr Custodio, who instructed us as we were all 13 of us joining The Church 48 years ago! He must be close to 90 years old, and is such a holy man and so much FUN!!! It is so good to see him still kicking and a prayer warrior! He has a ministry in healing and came and laid hands on John during his battle with cancer! Such a vessel of LIGHT of Christ!
